Absolutely disgusting customer service!After having the AA out to my car as it wouldn't start they checked over everything - alternator, wiring & diagnostics done - they confirmed the battery I had purchased from Halfords only 5 months earlier had dead cells and was the cause of the vehicle not starting. I headed to Halfords with my 5 year warranty to have the battery replaced, this was the start of the issues, the AA technician had warned us that Halfords have a habit of not wanting to replace faulty batteries... How right he was!!! The technician was incompetent and had no idea what he was doing. At one point even trying to put the earth clamp on my turbo bracket. All the excuses came, before he finally blamed it on a bad earth and said he wouldn't replace the battery. I will be contacting trading standards unless the problem is resolved as I have been sold goods not fit for purpose. Well done Halfords!

Frankly massively disappointed in how I have been treated. Car in for oil service and I get it back and it?s saying it?s been overfilled with oil which is very dangerous for the engine as it can caused an overload of oil pressure and so I ring up and get asked to return and as it?s a couple of days I borrow my wife?s car the next day and go back where, without any real apology the oil gets drained, I?m then told the level is correct BUT the cars still saying it?s over level - must be the oil sensor is faulty so we will order you one in and call you? an hour later whilst driving the oil warning go?s off and so I?m pretty cheesed off and so I go back into complain but the manager is covering the workshop and can?t come to talk so I ask for a call back that day (Friday) or the following Monday/Tuesday (no calls received)I go back in after Xmas and the manager is behind the counter and I explain what happened and why I believe I should not have to pay the full price as it?s cost me time returning and then having to chase up and the job wasn?t done properly either. The guy just keeps repeating ?well we put it right for you? and I said if it was up to you you?d have charged me for a sensor I didn?t need! (Good job that wasn?t followed through either and the quote was never given anyway)I was going to book in for my brake pads to be replaced but have completely lost confidence in the service and won?t be returning - the service standards and customer care are both way below what I would hope for and expect.Every time I visited I was told they were understaffed and that tells me things are going to get rushed and not done carefully enough due to the pressure they are put under and given the damage or danger that can potentially cause I think that?s unacceptable.

Arron conducted a through 10 point check in a quick & efficient manner pointing out to me some minor matters that may need future attention. Very helpful , useful & free (!) exercise.

Went to halfords to fix my bike at Thursday's was told need replays a part , they told i can order online and when it come they will replays it , i order it and come Saturday , first they told too order wrong part even i re-ask if it is correct 1 and now they can fix only after Christmas

Went in for head light bulbs expecting the fitting would be too complicated but the guy who served me fitted them without a problem and was just really helpful.

DO NOT go here it's an absolute joke they had me waiting 4 hours to change 2 tyres and they replaced the wrong side there's no communication in there , I had my little 3 year old with me because I paid and booked an hour slot so i though we wouldn't be long it's been very stressful and ruined my Saturday NEVER AGAIN bunch of cowboys and to top it off I had a knocking sound for a few days and thought they havent balanced a wheel and it turns out after driving up and down the motorway with my 3 year old and 9 month old in the car they didn't tighten up the wheel bolts when I found out I twisted one bolt and it just undone this could of caused a major accident if i not thought of checking the wheel nuts do not trust these people they are dangerous and you CAN NOT trust them

Great service. I turned up at 6.30pm with a pain of a car to fit the bulb but Aaron was brilliant and despite the freezing temperature, he fitted the bulb for me with a smile. Thanks ??

Really disappointing - booked in for a fitting assessment appointment (for car audio equipment purchased) only to be told that the store completing the assessment couldn't fit the equipment and I'd need to go to another store 15 miles away to book a fitting appointment. Complete waste of time and no joined-up thinking from Halfords.

Excellent service! The guys were so nice and helped me after I chose the wrong light bulbs (I?m not a car person at all). Changing my front dipped headlights was so simple. I will definitely be back when I brake something else on my car.

I just had a really good experience with Halfords in Loughborough. I needed a specific bike tool at 6pm in the evening. They had sold out but the bike mechanic offered to fix the problem for me that evening. 20 minutes later I walked out all sorted and he wouldn't even charge me! While it was unfortunate they were out of stock, he definitely went well beyond what he had to in order to get me out of a bind.
