I've given this pharmacy a 1 star six years ago, but unfortunately, it seems they're content with mediocrity. The pharmacist maintains the same abysmal attitude, making every visit a dreadful experience. Waiting times are still unnecessarily long (precisely 10 minutes), presumably to push their retail sales. Their inventory system is a joke, with frequent "forgotten" orders and items mysteriously out of stock - or no common sense to reprder items that don't arrive. Recently, I was told my prescription wasn't processed because the pharmacist was absent for a week and it had been forgotten. Unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

Great service from the Pharmacist Helen and the staff at the chemist.Couldn?t get a doctors appointment from Ratby Surgery for my daughter for over 2 weeks so they referred to chemist. Had a call same day to discuss symptoms and arranged to go after school day after.We had a consultation and offered treatment.Very professional and helpful, thankyou.

Always seem massively under pressure dispensing advice and prescriptions, and recent moves to push load from GPs to pharmacists must just be adding to that! Appreciate the time Mark and colleagues gave today to give advice and guidance about my daughter's Erythromycin challenges while juggling prescriptions & more!

My wife attended 05/10/23 and was served by the pharmacist as the ladies were on their break.He was making other peoples prescriptions up which were brought in after my wife?s and serving them. It took 40 minutes from point of payment to being dispensed.No apology from the pharmacist and no system in place for doing things in order.The ladies are great but the pharmacist needs to have a better system or memory. Room for improvement.

OUTSTANDING STAFF AND MANAGER THAT GO ABOVE AND BEYONDEvery time I've visited, the team have always been extremely helpful and yesterday was no exception. My elderly Mum has regular needs for medication and my Dad was unable to do this for her this week due to being in hospital. There was important information that I was missing when I called in to collect the prescription. Both the lady who served me and the manager were reassuring and endeavoured to get to the bottom of a query regarding allergies. They could have easily just said "the chemist is closed now, call back tomorrow", but they didn't. Instead they went out of their way, working later than usual to dispense the medication for me. I have to say that old fashioned customer service these days is rare and should be applauded.The manager and staff of this chemist are so valuable to the local community and I hope that they are respected and valued as much as they should be. Thank you for the service you provide at Masons Chemist in Markfield. You are amazing and I appreciate and value the service you offer to the elderly and vulnerable residents in Markfield.

Service is fine, staff is helpful, friendly & polite. Apart from medical items, there are gifts and handy items in store too.Location is good, right next to GP surgery, free parking spaces right outside the pharmacy, including disabled parking spaces, also street parking when car park is full and it?s always full.Everything is ok, apart from one day last week when I picked up some meds, staff behind counter was coughing and not wearing a mask. I understand it?s not law to wear masks anymore, but for what they do, I think it?s decent to put a mask on when they don?t feel 100%, nobody wants to pick up any nasty / unnecessary germs but that?s only my personal opinion.

What a BRILLIANT chemist! This is not my local chemist, but went there as it's the only place that my GP was able to find that had a medication that my wife was badlly in need of. Got to Masons to find that, although they'd put the medication to one side, our GP had failed to put the prescription through, and my local practice was closed for the weekend. The Phamacist, Mark Benoit, went way above and beyond duty, and spent the next few hours working through the quagmire of what is our currently beleaguered NHS and found someone who was prepared to issue a script. The ladies serving at the counter were also extremely helpful. I came away feeling that this was THE BEST SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Heartfelt thanks to the whole team from myself and my wife for your efforts - if I could give you ten stars I would, without hesitation!

I went into the chemist this afternoon (11/10/22) on behalf of my husband (whose Google account this is) in order to collect two identical non-prescription items we had ordered for him. My husband had rung at 2:54 p.m. to check that they had arrived and was told that they had. We drove to collect them, arriving about half-an-hour later. On asking for the items, I was told that they did not have any. I explained that they did have them, and that we had just rung to confirm this. I felt that the response of the to two members of staff who spoke to me was quite abrupt, as though I did not know what I was asking about. Both of the ladies indicated that there were none on the shelf where they are usually kept. I replied that I had noticed that and repeated that we had just been told that they had arrived in stock. One lady said she would look around the back, and while she was doing it, the other lady was looking in a book, and then noticed a stack of the items right next to her, presumably where somebody else had put them on delivery. There was no apology for any of this, and it made me feel that I was just an irritation, and not really welcome.More generally, the quality of service here is too variable, and, as has been noted by others, waiting times are often very long, in spite of the seemingly high staffing ratios.We do recognise that a number of the team members are unfailingly polite, professional and attentive, however, effective internal communication, allied to consistently positive customer-facing interactions may be a priority for this important local facility.

If I could give them no stars, I would. I do not know if it arrogance or a power trip. Interrogated over a tub of E45 cream that I was picking up for an elder family member. BUT I had to wait for the chemist to check a tub of E45 cream. Is the screw ups that bad that a tub of E45 cream needs to be check.? If it was narcotic, yes, fair enough. Plus, would not need to even go in there and have the conversation if they had it yesterday. And yes, a chemist without E45 cream, even though there was a whole bunch of different sizes sitting on the shelf. Or is this a form of intimidation? Next time I will do what I wanted to do in the first place and go buy it from amazon. Could have had it quicker on prime without the all the questions.

Love this place but then I?m very biased worked for masons until retirement. Staff workextremely hard for this very busy pharmacy . Unfortunately public can?t appreciate thisas they not aware of all the complexities and government rules that have to be adhered too.Appreciate it?s hard to be patient as people live very busy lives but please try
