Returned a duff tyre inflator which went wrong after 6 months. Jo at the store changed it without any argument. Even admitted there'd been a bad batch. Brilliant customer service and Jo should be in charge of training. Excellent service

If I could give my recent experience of Boston Halfords 0 stars I would.Yesterday afternoon I bought and had fitted 2 headlight bulbs. When it came to driving home in the dark last night, which is a 40 minute journey, I realised that the bulbs had not been fitted correctly. The lights didn't illuminate the road ahead of me, but instead they lit up the opposite side of the road. There was nowhere to stop and even if there had been there were no street lights. Besides, I didn't know how to put the problem right, otherwise I would have fitted the bulbs myself. As I live in a very rural location, with many roads without white lines I could barely see where I was going.When I got home I asked my husband if he could have a look, not wanting to face a similarly dangerous journey to work this morning, and he confirmed that the bulbs were not fitted correctly and put them right.When I walked over to Halfords this lunchtime to ask for a refund and to suggest that the person who fitted the lights received further training, I was told that I needed to present the car. I told them about the distance I had to travel and how dangerous it was; in all the years I've been driving I've never felt so afraid. I also explained that I hadn't been prepared to take another 40 minute drive in the dark this morning - on the shortest day. He repeated that I needed to present the car to get a refund.I call that very poor customer service. Not only did I have to drive home barely being able to see because of the incompetence of one of their employees, but they expected me to drive back to work in Boston in the same situation, not only risking my own life and that of other drivers.I will go elsewhere from now on.

Very positive experience today. Helped by Ash who was very polite and professional and kindly put the bike in my car. Also chatted with another lovely chap who came out and offered to help. A very welcomed positive visit to halfords.

I was told l need a new window screen because l had a chip the size of 5p. Called in to Halfords Boston. Member of staff repaired it within half hour. Thank you Halfords.

We are 2 older cyclists visiting Boston , we suffered a puncture and had to walk 3 miles back to camp site , and were advised the best place to go for repair was Halfords, Boston !We duly took the wheel to Halfords and met Alex who examined and fixed the problem in a very speedy and professional manner at reasonable cost.On the following day ,Sunday,on trying to pump up tyres on our caravan with our Ring inflator , which failed we were once again advised to visit Halfords, Boston !,! On that visit we met super salesman , Brian who gave us good advice on the best in a truly professional and polite manner . We gratefully departed with our Halfords goods and everything worked perfectly. We are now travelling back to Oxford and our best impression of Boston is the Halfords store, and the staff within !Many thanksKen and Karen

First class service from Paul & Harry. I had booked a dash cam fitting for a Tues but was driving past the store on the Sunday before and called in. Paul was very accommodating and made a slot for me. Harry did a superb job of fitting and taking me through the unit, ensuring I understood its features and what I should do if I needed to recover footage. A great overall experience?.well done to the Boston branch.

Went to buy a bike off the shelf.sat on it.said I will take it only to be told none in stock.will take six days to get here. Not allowed to sell me the one on show. Could have bought that one there and then but not allowed to sell me that on.
