Tom came to my rescue and reverse half a mile up this tractor lane to recover my car from a pond. (the sat nab sent me there!) . He checked my car afterwards for damage and was totally courteous throughout. Thanks.

Shop shut. No toilets. Frighteningly short exit meaning had to accelerate hard back on to the A1.

Auto pumps only. Fuel cheaper than others on A1.

Cheapest petrol on A1 between London and Newark. New automated fuel dispensers mean I can refuel 24/7.

Quite small and although it has a designated route through for HGV's, it's very tight. No parking spaces to speak of as the few there are are taken up with salvage vehicles. Quite precarious access from Southern bound carriageway too.

These guys are amazing, if there is any place in the UK to breakdown try and make it happen near Grantham. They helped me in every way possible and got me safely off the side of A1, then referred me to a local garage that they know who went out of his way and got me back on the road to Newcastle. Thank you Tom the driver and the owner whos name I did not catch. You really did make it a pleasure to breakdown if that makes sense.

Stopped for petrol and a 'comfort break'. Would not recommend; toilets disgusting, no toilet roll and the smell is still pretty awful from the other end of the building.

Stopped here to charge my car on A1 northbound. The charging station has plugs for several types of car. The toilets are round the back and reasonably well maintained. The shop has a nice selection of snacks and treats for your journey.
