Great place with friendly helpful locals with good atmosphere. Nice camping/caravan site attached with nice swimming pool and play area for kids. Could have a bit more attention to detail so if you're looking for refinement then this is probably not the place for you but we were quite happy and relaxed there and will go back again at some time.

Cheap and cheerful. Nice holiday atmosphere as soon as you arrive. Come here once a year, this year had a camping pitch and a tourer, both good value. Limited menu, though nicely cooked.

The site it ok.Don?t let the bad reviews put you off.Toilets and showers aren?t the cleanest but they work the pub is fairly priced and stick loads. My kids loved the park they played in it all day and night.Only thing that really bothered me while I was here is the amount of wasps I know it?s camping in the great outdoors etc etc but there was an awful amount. I was stung twice in 4 days. You literally can?t sit out

We rang to book an electric pitch for our tent so we could join friends that were booked on. We were told they had all sold out but we're offered a small trailer caravan instead. This seemed a good idea so booked it. On arrival we checked in at the pub which had a fusty horrible smell that put me off straight away. We were shown the caravan and on going inside I could have died. I wouldn't have put a dog in there. We had a 5yr old with us and I wanted to go home straight away. We looked for a hotel to stay in instead but they were fully booked. The caravan was filthy, the fridge didn't work, the cooker was dropping to bits and it needed a good clean. There was dirty vents covered in filth above our heads. The bed and pull out sofa looked like they needed a good clean. We decided to put our airbed up on top of the pull out sofa and stay one night as it was a long drive back to drag the little one back home. In the morning we packed up and left. I'd also booked a none electric pitch for my son and daughter in law to join us but on arrival I had rang them and warned them we would be leaving so they didn't come and that was our weekend ruined. We complained straight away and we're told by one of the staff he just books people on here we should see the manager. The manager said he has nothing to do with that side of the business so my husband said well I think you ought to. The toilets on site we're dirty aswel and no cold tap to use to brush your teeth. The pool is also not great and needs a good clean. Also it was really bad for mosquitos we got bitten to death and so did lots of people on the site everyone's legs were full of red lumps. Overall not my kind of place so if you expect cleanliness avoid this place. After we left the caravan was moved and put up for sale that says it all. On leaving we were given a £30 refund which didn't really cover our bad experience but I was just glad to leave.

The pool is what saves this camp site. Despite the pool being free to anyone who eats at the pub making it extremely busy all day, the pool is great and warm. We got kicked out of the pool 8PM just for a family to jump in after us without any restriction or questioning. Strange. There is not much going on around the campsite, I walked to the nearest village, Holbeach. However, the walk is all road but the views were nice due to the sun and perfect breeze. The village has the nearest supermarket to the campsite ?Tesco?s?. There is a Golf course in Gedney Dyke which is around the corner of the campsite if your into Golf. Lots of space for activities in the field at the back, unless it?s particularly busy.Food & drinks: The onion rings are 99% batter 1% onion. Pathetic. However, the pizza was okay. There is a vending machine, usually with sweets / chocolates.

Amazing place.Family friendly, very welcoming, helpful, affordable. The park is amazing. The swimming pool is great for the children and adults alike. Pub is reasonable prices.Saved a weekend camping ruined by another site. If I could rate higher I certainly would. Will be returning for the odd weekend break

Upon arrival you go in the pub to book in but instructions were vague. The guy then opened the gate and showed us a crammed in pitch to use. We had bad vibes so did a walk around before setting up. It is so chavvy and run down. The toilets are awful so is the pool. Towels hanging all over the fences. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but didn?t even stay for 1. We just counted our losses, drove away and gave now paid again to stay at Tallington Lakes instead - it?s amazing and similarly priced.

Delicious meal had in the pub whilst camping on the site behind the pub. Nice variety and easy to order.

This was our second visit to the campsite and it didn't disappoint. Dougie and his team made our 10 night stay a pleasure. The whole team are friendly welcoming and helpful and a credit to the business. We brought our own caravan and would certainly recommend. The pool is fantastic as well as the food in the pub. We met some great people thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We didn't want to leave. Thank you Dougie. We will be back
