Just had a lovely meal here. Not for Valentine's day. But hubby's 60thWow!!!!! The foodSpring rolls just melt in the mouth. Beef Wellington hubby had & I had steak. Done to perfection. Wanted dessert.but just couldn't manage.Thank you & look forward to dining with you again.

Party of 11 for my mums 80th birthday. The staff were very welcoming and the surroundings were perfect. The food was excellent and good value for money. Mum couldn?t stop talking about how much she enjoyed it. Would like to visit again.

This restaurant is perfect ! I truly can not fault it. 13 of us and food was excellent ! All our food came out at same time, piping hot(I do have a pet hate with cool or cold food) I had the fillet stake it was cooked to perfection medium rare,the chips were amazing. Pepper corn sauce was yummy!! Great service great food totally recommended ??????????

This was not our first visit to Kirton Cottage, and it won?t be our last either. The food served at New Year?s Day lunch was (as usual) exceptional. Everything is cooked to order and served to the table piping hot! There was a great choice on the menu, truly something for every taste. My husband had the steak and said it was the best he?d had in a long time and his chips looked epic. I admit to a bit of food envy! I enjoyed the abundance and choice of vegetables and my chicken and sauce were truly delicious. The service is calm and quiet but very efficient and the balance struck between being attentive and leaving you to enjoy your meal is perfect. Can hardly wait for our next visit. Thank you

We went for a meal at the Kirton Cottage and it was absolutely incredible. I have visited once before (5 star review left then too) and loved it and last night was even better! The food is incredible. It won't be a nice soup or good roast potatoes, no, it will be THE best soup you have ever had, THE nicest roast potatoes....I have no idea how Ambrish the chef manages it. I think the discussion between us at the table settled on "he uses some sort of witchcraft". Laura, our server, was likewise incredible. She was so attentive but it a really subtle way. She responded to our needs before we even knew we needed them. Again, gotta be witchcraft or some kind of magic. The layout of the restaurant is really unique. It is a cute little cottage (like the name suggests) but decorated tastefully and artistically. The Christmas decorations make it even more lovely. Finally, I have to say thank you for the incredible Christmas lights that light up our little village every Christmas. They are amazing. I am looking forward to returning to The Kirton Cottage again in the New Year.

Kirton Cottage is fairly unique these days. The menu is varied and excellent, including novel dishes and interesting variations on some more standard items (e.g. beetroot Wellington and mince pie cheesecake!). Superb food delivered in unpretentious surroundings and not expensive. This restaurant is a little gem; we?ll definitely be back!

Delicious fresh food, served immaculately with cotton table cloths and napkins. Easy access but private. Lovely atmosphere. Going back to try lunch after such a delicious afternoon
