Gutted! Always had good meal with long Bennington chip shop very friendly but tonight they decided to re cook the chips obviously they had gone cold and old then re cooked them. Very upset when we pay a lot of money to get this happening.

Had a bad experience here several years ago but decided to give it another go and pleased I did. Staff are very friendly and polite, food is good and well worth the visit. Only thing I can recommend is if you are getting the fish ask for it to go on top. Gets stuck on the greaseproof paper and it pulls off all the batter if on the bottom.

My wife and I had fish and chips from here a couple of weeks ago, the 'large' fish was fairly small, very greasy and absolutely stank really fishy, in fact after the five minute ride home the car stank of fish for days!I'll give this chippy a miss in future.

Pulled off the A1 and was so pleased we found this chip shop (it had been recommended by friends). Excellent fish and chips (and a battered sausage), and good portion size .... enough chips for a butty at teatime. Friendly service and great location on the very wide and quiet main road.

Definitely won't be going to this fish an chippy again. The only good thing was the chips, I had a fish it was soggy and had no taste to it at all. My son had a fish cake it was in 10 pieces as it was soggy and looked like it had been beaten before it was wrapped up, and my partner had a kebab with a side salad.. or should I say a salad with a side of kebab 5 mouths fulls in total. About 6 slices of cucumbers and tomatoes. For long Bennington and the price it shouldn't be that bad as long Bennington is quite a posh village and the food was like something from a night out take away in town.
