I went to collect a parcel this morning. Before I went I checked the internet listing for the office - it said the parcel office is open. When I arrived at the parcel office - the door opening times notice clearly indicated it is open. The door was locked and nobody answered. I rang the telephone number - automated recording said "We're closed!" What a mess of poor communication - leading to a complete waste of time and effort. Yet another indicator that as the Royal Mail prices go up, the quality of service goes down! Pathetic!

Opening hours are reliable, but limited. In my experience, over the past 5 years, staff attend the desk promptly and are always helpful.

My parcel was taken somewhere and Simon who delivered it will not answer my call or texts. I?ve tried ringing the office and it just sends you round in circles. Why can?t someone answer the phone

As soon as I walk in I hear the person who serviced me on his phone clearly talking to family during work hours then get a passively agressive customer service who aren't willing to listen or help or even do their job, no wonder royal mail is struggling employing people who don't work or do their jobs absolutely useless.

After checking opening hours on the post office website I drove to Louth sorting office customer services which is 12 mile round trip from where I live, to collect a parcel, only to find a sellotaped picece of paper on the door with changes to their opening hours to a mere 2 hours, 7 to 9am (which are of course perfectly understandable). My wasted journey, and I'm sure others' too, would have been avoided if they had had the common sense to amend the hours on the website, and which would have taken seconds to do. Not impressed.

I have paid for 24hr delivery multiple times and the items that I am trying to send seem to sit in their office for more than 2 days. Not fair on me when the buyer is giving me bad ratings for the royal mails poor performance.
