  I give to the Salvation Army as years ago I too encountered rudeness and a sofa was refused as it was the wrong colour! The staff in Birkenhead are lovely and if something cannot be sold they can make money from recycling. They do a great job.

  I called up several charities when I had to clear my sisterâ??s flat as she entered nursing care - some of them were plain rude at a time which was enormously stressful for me! The lady who came to the flat was kind, understanding & happy to receive the beds, furniture etc etc ... Since then I have always made a point of recycling clothes etc to the Birkenhead shop, althoâ?? it is not in my neighbourhood. Well done & thank you, Sally Army!
