Fast and friendly service with a small but nice little shop. Prices for fuel are always fair

? Shady Garage or should I say "shady business practices' taking place here... ? price wise.

WHY!? well as I drove past this now Esso station today on my way to West Kirby, I couldn't help but notice petrol being advertised @ £1:66 per litre ? the cheapest price that I've seen for petrol in a long, long, time either here on the Wirral or across the water in Liverpool (where it's currently being sold @ £1:72 / litre in most ? station's. And so 4 hours later on my way back towards Birkenhead heading to Liverpool I pulled into this Esso ? station & filled up thinking I'd be saving 6p per litre on what I paid for petrol last week.

Now @ this point I must state that the price shown outside this Esso ? station was for regular unleaded fuel.
And here lies the shady catch to this story...
As I fill up as normal with the Super Unleaded fuel which I always put in my ? & which I'm expecting to pay an extra 7p a litre for, which is normally the case when I fill up @ Sainsburys or ASDA with premium octane fuel.
Here is very different, as I find to my surprise after filling up & paying...I discovered that I have been charged £1:859/litre ? WOW I didn't see that one coming, a 20p/litre upcharge from the regular unleaded to premium ?. Unbelievable & so there lies the shady scam. This garage advertising the cheapest regular unleaded around with no price shown on the sign outside for premium unleaded fuel, which I assume most ????‍???‍?like myself think their premium fuel will be an extra 7p/litre not 20p/litre extra?.

Plus the petrol pumps here are small & outdated with the price per litre badly lit up on a faded old yellow LCD, with you having to look through your car back/side windows to see the ?guage/counter when having to stretch the fuel line across to the far side of your ?, unlike at most modern petrol pumps where you look up over the roof of your ? to see the ?guage/counter up on high & clearly visible on a modern display.

The only positive I can take from this debacle is that my ? is running great on this Esso Super(Expensive) 99 octane fuel & that I was awarded nectar points ? for filling up here?.

Great for the car vac, but worst place in the Wirral for high fuel prices.

Easy access, with Jet wash, Hoover and tyre and water machine. Although the air can cost you water should always be free as far as I'm away for your screen wash bottle as it is illegal to drive with an empty screen wash bottle, therefore at petrol station the water is free and should be free. I can confirm it is at Shell stations, although it with the air machine, just press the water without putting any money in.

Pulled in after getting a puncture; though it's only a service station, not a garage, they were really nice and helpful. I particularly thank the kind lady on duty on Sunday 6th May. She was my guardian angel that day!
