As it's not as big as the Asda on Smithdown Road or Halewood but very handy as it is local. They have most of the essentials, and even have a bakery. They don't have Clothes, Household Items (pots, pans, plates, sheets, towels, etc.), Electrical section, and Pizza station.

Small asda, so it's great for quick shopping in a walking distance from home. It has a variety of fruit and vegetables and all the other necessary groceries. It lacks certain other things that big asdas have. It's also a collection point for George orders.

Asda penny lane have continually broke the law for years by allowing their delivery drivers to deliver from 4.30am, and usually from 5-5.30am, making excessive noise in a residential area. The law states 7am and 9am on Sundays. The other shops in Penny Lane shopping centre ?.g. Home bargains, Iceland, have no problem respecting residents and abiding the law. I have asked Asda penny lane to stop breaking the law, I have wrote to them, rang them, emailed the CEO of Asda, I have tried everything for years yet they still break the law on an incessant basis. I have been grieving the loss of my partner and despite my many appeals to them to stop breaking the law they continue to do so, causing me a great deal of distress, waking up in the middle of night almost every other day, it sounds like there is a tractor in my bedroom, adding to my already intense grief and therefore exasperating poor mental health. It's an absolute disgrace how they have continued to listen to me, pretend to care, then completely ignore me and continue to break the law and disturb myself and other local residents. I am appalled at their selfishness and lack of consideration for others. An absolute disgrace.Edit 1 week later...You lasted all of 5 days, not much after 7 years of torment but a start and it made such a difference, sadly it was too good to be true, your right back at it as you continue to break the law whilst negatively impacting mental health, and despite your response, it's disgraceful.Notes from lawConstruction sites and BusinessesConstruction companies and contractors must by law take all reasonable steps to control noise and work within certain times, usually from 7.30am to 6pm. If they want to work outside these times they must apply for a special permit from the local council. What is the impact?Having to tolerate either constant or intermittent nuisance noise can be exhausting, especially if it happens through the night. It can also make people feel isolated and helpless, unable to relax in their own homes. Note endsCAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME ON HERE ASAP WHY ASDA PENNY LANE THINKS IT'S ABOVE THE LAW?ALSO... you advertise the following:We are offering a quieter hour 2.00pm - 3.00pm every Monday to Thursday - During this time we're reducing the noise levels in store by switching off our Asda Radio and reducing tannoy announcements to emergencies only...Is this a tokenistic statement? Or does your level of care and consideration only stretch to 2-3pm for in store customers?

Really convenient place to go. It's an express so does not have all the selection as a big asda. On saying that I've never had to walk away and go to the large store.

Staff are miserable and unfriendly. Reluctant to open on time or help. Tills hardly ever open, food stock is limited and it's better to go Smithdown Road Asda 5 mins away. Simply use for convenience but it's rubbish in all honesty.

Local and big enough to do you weekly shop .

Edit: 10/04/23It's been three months since I've seen any eggs, the shelf is always entirely empty. I know there is a bird flu situation so eggs are a little scarce, but Iceland and Home Bargains manage to have some in...Original:Decent enough little Asda, but there is always a massive queue for what is usually only proper till that's open and far too many shoddy self service checkouts that you have to stand at for five minutes if anything goes wrong, because there are never any staff around.

Got most things. Not a superstore like clothing etc, but great choice for food and small household stuff

Great Asda with lots of nice fresh produce and very friendly helpful team in store. The check out front of store team are always super helpful and super efficient. The only downside to this store for people like myself who walk to the shops is the alleyway from Smithdown Road to the store. It?s always covered in litter and dogs mess ! It?s looks disgusting before you even start shopping and in the winter it?s super slippery as never gritted. The other stores say it?s Asdas responsibility so it needs attention but all the stores here should take more pride in this centre.

Handy supermarket, doesn't have things like the larger asda but very good
