“We are only back from a two night break in Liverpool, I honestly didn't know what to expect when we booked the holiday inn, I was looking for something that was firstly value for money, buy also in a good location for shopping and nightlife, well this hotel ticks both those boxes. Hotel is on the 500 & 86A bus route from the Airport. The hotel is situated directly opposite Lime Street station. The outside view of the hotel is very deceiving, it seems to have been built in amongst a shopping mall and looks a bit dated, but once you go through the revolving door, you are entering in to a very modern hotel which is spotless clean. there are 9 storeys with all the bedrooms being on floors 3-9, the bar and restaurant and a number of meeting rooms are all on floor 2. We stayed in a King bed standard room B&B and we had a view over the city. The bathroom was well equipped with plenty of toiletries and towels. We had breakfast included in our rate, but can be purchased separately also. There's a very good selection of hot and cold breakfast options and plenty of staff on hand to ensure a very pleasant experience. I cant wait to return to this hotel in the near future.”

“We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was a great night away. We had our room upgraded to the penthouse suite which was a lovely spot with amazing views at the top of the main building. Dinner was great, and the cocktails even better. The live music was really good. Breakfast was incredible with a large selection and everything we tried tasted great. All the staff here are so lovely and happy to help with anything. We went to the spa after checking in and ended up leaving due to how busy it was as we couldn’t fit in any of the hot tubs or the sauna, but we went back the next morning at 7am and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves so able to make the most of the spa facilities then.”

“This hotel is in a great location and was a great choice. The rooms have a lovely amount of space and are very clean, the showers are amazing and the beds are super comfy. Overall, a great experience and amazing value for what we got. We will definitely be coming back here!”

“We stayed here to visit Anfield stadium- this was around 40 minute drive from here. Welcome was great from reception- Francesca booked us in. Room adequate- gutted no bath. Restaurant/bar staff excellent! Special thanks to Emma and I’m sorry to have not caught her name but she was on shift each breakfast - blonde, blazer… absolutely fantastic customer service. I had my time wrong for the excursion we had booked- I did not expect special treatment but she delivered a plate of bacon and sausages super quick so we had a great breakfast before we had to leave- she really did not have to do this, as my fault. It was so kind and appreciated. Food acceptable and good value. it is busy so pre book if you can We took train to Liverpool lime street - (cost £12.90 for 2 adults and 2 kids return) station is a 5 minute walk from hotel. Nearest shops/take away is about 15 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again and recommend”

“Excellent air conditioning and everything you need in the room. Really good breakfast and a good evening menu. Parking spaces are available. Docks across the road.”

“Fairly chic rooms with mural/map wall covering, odd having the toilet in the shower (sort of). Was hopeful of the shower but big head means little pressure so you get showered but gently. Have stayed twice and both showers the same with almost no temp control. Breakfasts were excellent and the bar/reception area is very stylish and relaxing which don't always go together. Bar service was indifferent but on the whole, quite pleasant and will use again”

“This is an amazing room for any occasion. The room is spotlessly clean, the decoration they provide is great & matches your colour you may choose. The facilities are great & the staff & service is second to none.I've used this venue for my 60th Birthday Party & would definitely use it again if needed , I would also highly recommend it to everyone.”

“The theme can be appreciated (an ocean liner late 50s-60s) and it is well kept. Found room dark and have updated in terms of USB outlets at headboard but no electrical outlets (i use a CPAP). Good size room. Nice king bed. Long (but narrow) tub was appreciated to soak our weary muscles after early days of our tourist walks. Handy to Liverpool Lime Street station (though if windows open you do have the station announcements). Hotel also has Seven Seas Brassiere with good menu. Food was quite tasty though service was strange and bordered on rude. The waiter was inattentive to diners and when finally got attention that my wife’s soup and bun came without butter, he looked at the plate then stepped around behind her seat to get a look at other side of plate like he was wondering if she was hiding the butter.”

“Travelodge standard room. Slightly smaller than we have stayed in at other sites. Left door hangar requesting fresh towels as nowhere to dry used ones. On returning to room that evening towels had not been changed, had to go to reception to get dry ones. Shower certainly not a power shower, more like standing under a watering can!! Reported to reception on leaving, apologised and thanked us for reporting it. Great location, good views, nice quiet room.”

“Stayed at hotel for 3 nights. Lovely hotel. Upgrade given as a Diamond Member and access to one of the best club lounges we have visited where the lovely Sofia looked after the guests. Nice view from room of Mersey river and cruise ships when docked, well each end of them due to a building blocking full view. All staff were friendly but big shout out to Bradley and Melissa on reception who are a credit to the hotel and always had a smile for everyone. Parking available and plenty spaces but a bit of a tight squeeze!! Room was nice and spacious with all amenities required. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Lovely relaxing bar area. Swimming pool on site but a bit like getting into the North Sea it was so cold. Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna great. Pool and changing area bit tired and would benefit from some TLC. Close to shops, museums, restaurants and nice walk along the docks. Overall lovely stay and will definitely return.”

“The Throstles Nest Pub is a wonderful pub that I love visiting, a warm, inviting pub and the last remaining pub along Scotland Road. Great pub interior, it's traditional, lovely decor and furnishings including a superb looking serving bar, its a hotel as well ,never stopped here ,only ever used the pub facilities, beer range is good, service is warm and welcoming, all in all its a wonderful pub to check out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Scotland Road.”

“We booked a two bedroom apartment - this was our second visit to the premises so we knew we would have comfortable, clean accommodation. It was even better this time as we were allocated a penthouse suite. Absolutely amazing. Staff were really friendly. We spoke to Kelly who took our booking and she was very helpful and ensured our check out was trouble-free. Will definitely be booking Premier Suites for our future visits to Liverpool.”

“This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. Staff are all very helpful and friendly, place is clean and tidy. Location is perfect. 10 minute walk from Lime St station, not far from all the night life, but quiet enough to sleep. We shall return again in the future.”

“Great place, landed 23:59..receptionist Jane went out her way to get the room correct and have us comfortable. Bed amazing and breakfast great. Wasn't going to stay in another Premier Inn as last experience in North London put me off, noisey and just horrid but John Lennon one has changed my mind, maybe its just this one which is great but we had a fab sleep and breakfast too”

“We stayed at the one bed room suite. Very spacious. Excellent service. Yet it is an old building. Elevator works at its will. Sometimes both work, sometimes none… breakfast was reasonable rooms a bit noisy due to street noise which could be a problem to some. All in all was a good stay.”

“Very easy to find. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only issue I really had staying here for the plug sockets in the room. All the sockets were the opposite side of the room to the bed which is fine for most people however I need to use medical equipment at night and I was lucky to have a long cable as couldn't plug it in next to the bed for use.Food & drinks: The hotel offer breakfast boxes however they are located sharing the same carpaprk as a Toby carvary”

“Our deluxe room was spacious even with an extra bed added for our daughter. There was some street noise at night which was to be expected but we couldn’t hear neighbors at all. The entire hotel was beautiful, especially the staircases. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Finally, the location was excellent. Would highly recommend!”

“I have just stayed here as part of a delegation for four nights. Lovely rooms with plenty of towels and pillows. Tea/coffee and milk topped up every day and your bed turned down. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good range of food at breakfast with hot and cold options. This hotel is placed wonderfully for Albert Docks and 10 min walk to Liverpool One shopping centre, a 15 min walk to the Cavern Quarter.Really enjoyed my stay and will be back.Walkability: Easy walking distance for attractions”

“Staff work very hard. Had to ask to change room due to toilet leak, not a problem, no dramas. Basic hotel but had everything we needed. Very close to shops, pubs etc. Breakfast really nice. All staff very friendly and pleasant. Great basic place for a quick trip, very comfortableRooms: Nowhere to put clothes apart from 5 hangers. Other than that rooms were basic, clean and comfortable”

“Nice sized room/good bed/clean/quiet/friendly staff/v centralThought it was a bit expensive, but I was travelling on my own and it was a one night thing, so if staying up for longer and you're a couple then that will even out.”

“Great day out here playing golf. The golf course was in great condition. Well looked after and greens in perfect condition. The pace of some of the groups were slow, so much so that we caught up with a group in front after 3 holes and then got stuck as they were behind 3 slower groups of 4.But the course is certainly worth visiting and playing, plenty of water hazards so makes you improve your game to keep the ball in play and safe.Nearby activities: The golf facilities on offer are great, the course is in amazing condition and of high quality.”

“Lovely hotel in an amazing place, so central to everywhere. Car park is a good 10 minute walk from hotel but get a discount as we were staying at hotel. Lovely breakfast plenty of choice Michael and Mark were rushed off their feet as it was busy. They always had a smile and very helpful to everyone. Thanks both much appreciated. The rooms were fine except the air conditioning was very noisy and when knocked it off the room was to hot to sleep. So had to put it back on. Would definitely stay here again but would ask for a room with a view as we couldn't see outside. All in all well worth it. Thank you Premier Inn. ?”
