Honestly one of the most pleasant Tesco Expresses there is. This and another are very close by mine, so I?ll often go into this one. It has a great layout and a decent selection (although no low-fat hummus nor bruschetta sauce).\\n\\nOne of the pleasant surprises is that the security guard is incredibly friendly and nice. Most tend to be gruff and not so friendly. You?ll occasionally have a rough sleeper outside who?s also quite nice and loves caramel lattes and is very grateful when you ask him if he?d like a coffee on a cold night. He doesn?t bother anyone though. The security will sometimes have a nice chat with him by the door, and it?s nice because you?ve someone who typically is regarded as scary treating another person, who?s typically ignored, as an actual human being. Never had a bad experience in this Tesco after being in probably 50 times now.

The store itself is fine. But I wouldn't recommend shopping here at night. Crackheads, antisocials and homeless congregate nearby. Intimidating security guard standing outside. Police need to clean the area up.

Tesco Express on Strand Street is a good convenience store, located by the docks in Liverpool city centre. The facilities inside the store are good, this is a Hermes Parcelshop, so you can drop off packages here with Hermes (Good for cheap packages and Amazon returns), there is also a small Krispy Kreme doughnuts stand and Costa Express coffee machine. The layout of the store was pretty good, it was more visually appealing than other Tesco Express stores I have visited. The selection in-store was fine, obviously, the prices are what you'd expect for a Tesco Express store, which can be just over 10% more than a regular Tesco due to it being a convenience style location. My main issue with the store was the unfriendliness of the security guard, who seemed to have let all the power go to his head, he was standing on the door, blocking the only way into the store, I ended up having to squeeze past him, as he refused to even acknowledge me or move, both entering and leaving the store. I have never felt more unwelcome and like a criminal just for entering a store. 3* - The store its-self is good, but I probably wouldn't return if the security guard keeps acting like a nightclub bouncer at a low-grade boozer.

Excellent little shop, stocking everything you may need. Breakfast pastries were always fresh and delicious!

I attended this store Saturday 5th with sore feet looking for plasters, none anywhere went to cash desk and the gentleman on the till gave me one of the personal supply. What an amazing customer service, he was so concerned I was in pain. This man is absolutely 5* thank you.

No social distancing. Staff were wearing masks but when the guy spoke to customers he pulled his mask down to speak. Kinda defeats the object of it. Most customers were not wearing masks either and it wasn?t being enforced.

Security guard was intimidating and aggressive in his manner. Was treated like a criminal because I was browsing around the store and maybe my face didn't fit what he expected. Also kept calling me 'bro', while walking round with earphones in. Unprofessional and terrible experience.

Just went down with my bf to buy something and the bloke from security was being very racist with us from the beginning as we speak with a different accent, he was in our backs to see what we were doing, I ended up leaving all the groceries there and got out as he was sitting in our face, listening to our PRIVATE conversation . Hey! I understand some think they are 007 at tesco, but youâ??re scarring people away like that. Itâ??s tesco, not rolex :))) I wouldnâ??t go there again.

Terrible ,I I made a purchase and paid in the auto boxes, to finish the box asked for my signature, the employee of the place days that had not been charged from my card and month did pay again, I said that there is Other than that Today I saw on my invoice two charges, at first my daughter had passed the same product twice and only had taken one, then gave the value of 9.45 or so And the maid charged more 6.45 or so than she gave the right amount of I want my 9.45 pounds

A compact store with a good range of stock for a city centre location. Conveniently close to the James Street station and the Travelodge next door.
