Great location, opposite the Royal Albert Dock and other nearby attractions. If you can tolerate road noise (usually from the local boy racers), get a room at the front and high up as the views are great. The reception staff also seemed pleasant enough. The parking isn't completely convenient. It's probably a 10 minute walk away, and make sure you don't make the mistake that I did and go the long way round. Familiarise yourself with the instructions on the Travelodge website as the car park is a maze and the signage terrible. The floor numbers are also backwards. The rooms are basic. Standard Travelodge fayre. I've marked down for the room quite considerably though for the reasons below:1. General disrepair with marks on the walls, soap dispensers broken (I kept knocking the cover off the one in the shower). And the windows don't properly seal. You can hear everything that goes on outside, so the windows aren't adjusted and/or installed properly. This seems to be a Travelodge thing that I have encountered countrywide with them. The diffuser for the ambient lighting behind the bed was coming away. It looks like there's been a leak above too as there's water staining above the door to the room.2. Cleanliness is not great. One bath sheet had a brown mark on it. The room is exceptionally dusty which is most noticeable when I pick my phone up after a night's sleep and it's covered in dust. The skirting board is filthy too. My room, I strongly suspect, has had dogs in it. The wet dog smell is unmistakable and lingers even after the window has been left open all day. I wish they'd ban dogs or charge enough to deep clean (i.e. shampoo carpets and furnishings) every time.3. The rooms are meant to be no frills but they cross a line and really are austere. No shelf or hooks in the shower, meaning you can't set down your sponge, loofer, shampoo, etc. The room is also very dark in the evening to the point that the desk space isn't useable as it's far too dark; it needs a desk light. The lighting in the room is also a cool white and not in the least but cosy. You have a small number of coat hangers in the corner, but it'd be great if you had a couple of coat hooks by the door.

I'll start by saying location is subjective to your needs. And we wanted to be out of the central scuffle, but near a scenic area. The docklands are certainly that. We had a 9th floor room, 902! Looks right over the docks. Yes, there's also a ruddy huge skyscraper in the way too, but the scenes are background to the actual location we wanted in this place. Our room was comfortable, spacious. It had a desk/bureau. Coffee machine, kettle. The usual facilities! Annoyingly, the long mirror wasn't above the desk. For the ladies (and gents I suppose! This is Liverpool and this is 2024!) theres no where to do your face at close range ? Your facing a wall with the mirror behind you. If it just had a wee wooden shelf at stomach height we'd have ourselves a good mirror to work with. But I ALWAYS pack a mirror. A big one lol. So I used that instead. The bed wasn't as big as I was expecting. It's not Premier Inn sized, I'd say it was just bigger than a double but not a Queen. Pillows were comfy enough. No plug sockets next to the bed just USB connections. The wifi worked well. Top tip! If you have Google home speakers or an Alexa- take them! We have a Google mini speaker set up to our phones and it was so handy to cast music to and ask Google dumb questions. The bathroom was just a shower and floppy curtain. Perfectly good water pressure for the 9th floor. Body soap provided. No shampoo. Towels, yada yada, all good. One star off for no plugs next to the beds.Checkout was dead easy! Just pop your card in the box next to the desk if you feel like being antisocial. We didn't use the bar but did need the loo! Guess what. You need your card to get in one. So if you need the loo before you leave don't get rid of your card till last minute.

Got a twin bed room for a weekend visit, great price for the room and it's location. They let us keep our bags there until proper check in since we got there hours early. Only complaint is that the wifi isn't free.

I stayed here again, 21st to 26th January in a 'better' room = a more expensive room! It wasn't cleaned, I had left a label on the door handle - please clean / new towels / renew coffee tea etc. The room was the normal size, the only difference was the coffee machine which WAS excellent. I will not pay an additional amount again for decent coffee !

Ive got to say, the support i received from the Manageress Stacey with the regards of a lost property/ item left by my son who had stayed here for a pokemon convention was truly top performance. My son had left his Nintendo switch console in one of there rooms and i had got in touch with them , they confirmed it was found and safely stored in there safe deposit box.Address needed of me for the safe return of my sons console and is in the post as i write this. Room and service on what my son had said was amazing and he wants to go back there as a place to stay and visit the area better. So on good note its not put him off. To which im glad.So with a huge thank you for this.RegardsAndy Mercer.

I recently stayed here for one night and had a mixed experience. The room was clean, equipped with basic necessities, and boasted a lovely view of the Wheel and Pier Head. However, being at the front facing the main road had its drawbacks. The constant noise from the busy street, including sirens and shouting, made it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Having stayed on a weekday I can only imagine how challenging it might be on a weekend. It's unfortunate that the soundproofing isn't more effective. The pillows were also uncomfortable, adding to the less-than-ideal sleeping conditions. On the positive side, the staff were exceptionally polite and friendly and the location was great. If I were to stay again, I'd opt for a room away from the front to avoid the disruptive street noise.Rooms: Rooms were clean and contained all the basic necessities.

A much better experience than the one we had at another nearby Travelodge several years ago - so much so, that we wouldn't stay in another one...However, a Northern Rail ticket sale took us to Liverpool for one night and we wanted to keep it as cheap as possible. The Travelodge on the Strand was a much better option. A great location, with breakfast and our rail tickets amounted to less than £52 for 2 adults. We would happily stay here again for up to a maximum of 2 nights.Anything longer, we need more space including storage space plus a fridge and a safety deposit box.The staff were friendly, polite and happy to share information to give ideas to compliment the trip.

Very nice hotel, rooms were cosy and warm which was lovely with the horrible weather we had when visiting Liverpool. The staff were incredibly nice and so helpful. Can?t go wrong with a travelodge in myopinion.

Me and my partner booked for a three night stay. Cannot complain about service and location however we have noticed some cleanliness issues and maintenance issues. The hair and body wash is nearer the sink and the hand wash is near to the shower which we found odd.The picture in our bedroom still has some sticky residue issue and some questionable marks on the toilet bowl.Other than that I would happily stay here again.

This was a great hotel. It?s one of the newer Travelodge hotels and is very conveniently right in the centre of Liverpool, which meant getting around was an absolute breeze. I?d definitely come back here. The rooms were clean and tidy and the room was quiet at night.

The hotel staff is unprofessional, the breakfast is not prepared, the shower in the bathroom in the room is ridiculous, I can't wash well with such a shower. The hotel is in a good place.
