Feel really let down by them. I went to A&E in crippling pain, doctor reluctantly said she would get a scan arranged. 12 months later I got a call saying do you want a scan! Finally got seen by a surgeon/gynae who said we will send you for a scan and then I will see you in 3 weeks. That was last summer and I haven't heard anything since. Absolutely shambolic.

I visited the hospital a few weeks ago to visit a friend having surgery. The nurses and other staff I met were easily the kindest I've met anywhere. Shout out to the lady collecting bed linens, we were aiming for the same set of double doors and she had a giant trolley thing so I tried to get the door for her but she blocked my path with her trolley to made sure I went through first. Then the ladies in the little deli café downstairs, super patient with me whilst trying to decide on some food and made sure I got a drink deal I wasn't even aware of. I hope the non-medical staff get recognised for their overall great impression of this hospital too.

Awful treatment here today!Had a laparoscopy in December for endometriosis, had concerns my coil has shifted due to extreme symptoms and was made to feel like I was being dramatic and the problem wasn?t important enough to them.Asked for an ultrasound or even an appointment for one at a later date, bare in mind issues with the coil run in my family and I?m experiencing extreme symptoms and was told to try an estrogen pill to stop the symptoms when endometriosis is actually estrogen dependent?Wouldn?t recommend for anyone with endometriosis as was made to feel very invalidated

I've not had many dealings with a hospital, no prolonged stays, etc. Until now, when my girlfriend came here to give birth to our baby boy. The hospital is nice overall. However, it looks a bit tired in places - with some basic cosmetic jobs that need doing.99% of the staff that we met were nice and could not do enough for you. There was a small minority that seemed to rather be doing something else then helping us. The hospital was massively understaffed during our 5 night stay over, which one midwife saying that there should be 12 midwives on the Postnatel ward. She said that they were lucky to have 6 at anyone time. The staff really do not get enough credit! The hospital relies heavily on the student nurses and the volunteers, which is wrong. Not to mention bank staff who charge a fortune to work a shift (rightly so, in this day and age!)There were buzzers ringing in the corridors that seemed to go unanswered for ages, patients, or relatives of (me included) walking the corridors looking for staff to help with a problem. I felt bad asking for help from the staff as I knew that they were so busy. There was also basic housekeeping jobs that were left overnight because they didn't have anyone to sort them. The food isn't the best, the restaurant and café are basic, and the choice for patients' meals is a bit grim. The restaurant is advertised as being open for 24hours, what they mean is that there is a vending machine that sells microwave meals. Though you can have food delivered or bring in your own outside food. We did a couple of times and no one minded. My girlfriend asked for a jacket potato with cheese and beans to be told that it was one or the other. I asked for the catering ladies to toast some bread for my girlfriend (which I had bought from the restaurant downstairs) to be made to feel like I had asked for something outrageous.Myself and my family have been thinking just what potential the hospital has. If the staff are this good and this helpful when they are let down by equipment, facilities, staffing shortage, dwindling budget, the Tory government then just imagine how good it would be if it had 100% support!Thank you to all the staff on the delivery suite and the postnatal ward for the safe delivery of baby Ludlam for the after care that we received. There was a few stand out members of staff, who unfortunately I didn't get their names. It's also worth mentioning that I liked the security on both the delivery suite and the postnatal ward. Also I don't know what I was expecting, however the facilities for the partner of the mother is a wooden chair in the corner to sleep on and as a spouse you are not allowed to have a shower and the mothers would be able to. So I suggest bringing a pillow and a blanket for the night time and get used to just having a wash in the sink. Yeah OK the spouse isn't obliged to stay over too, however if you're like me then you want too! Sleeping in a old chair though is a small price to pay in order to spend time as a family.I'm not going to lie but our first night in the postnatal ward was daunting, because we had gone from having our own delivery room, to sharing a ward with two other families. But as the nights went on we got more prepared and slightly more comfortable. I will suggest that you need to make use of the basket on the baby cot. We put all the things that we would need for a night time change in there, so it was easier for us and even ended up laying out clean baby clothes, in case of an accident in the middle of the night. As no one wants to be rummaging through bags in the early hours when your kid is crying.Overall it was a good experience , like I said thank you to everyone for helping us!Love from Lucy, Ste and baby Joey!

Wait time for someone to pick up a phone in case of an emergency is disgusting. I started of as number 12 and 2 hours later I was number 6 in the queue! Absolute disgrace

It really is a horrific 9 hour wait in the emergency department, shame on you, Its name is the emergency department. It must be equipped as quickly as possible.(Wait) is the word that all hospitals in the UK suffer fromWait wait wait wait You are in the emergency department. Wait, wait, wait, haha, it's funny

I was born in this hospital almost 17 years ago. Thank all the staff here for helping giving lives to the upcoming and new born babies! If it wasn?t for them, I probably wouldn?t be here writing a review like I am today.

The pharmacy part was really terrible. People were all sitting and the employees were talking and laughing. The service was about 100 years ago. Really sad and disappointing.

We came here.for termination for medical reasons. Excellent holistic care. The Consultant Mr Agarwal took every precaution and he genuinely cared. I didn't have issues with anyone. Midwives, carers and other staff were all lovely despite there being a few emergency bells when we were there. We really got the best out of a horrible situation and we got lovely memories to take home. We're glad we weren't anywhere else.

Can't fault the staff. Nurses and doctors etc.But the thing on the main reception needs working on.Seriously bad attitude type of thing. Angry , can't be bothered , sorry to have been disturbed type.Front of house when dealing with patients and relatives is very important image you need to get right. And not an attitude like that.Attended there today about 1.45pm. To see my daughter, who has just given birth.

Genuinely really surprised by the bad reviews but can only speak on my experience at the gynecology a and e. I visited this morning at 8am due to what we think is a terrible flare up of endometriosis/adenomyosis. I was triaged, examined by a female doctor and given a prescription to help with the pain as well as a referral to the endo clinic in under an hour, which if anyone has been to a typical a and e, this just isn't how promptly it goes. Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The staff I spoke to were lovely and helpful and for the first time in 7 years, I finally felt listened to and that I was taken seriously. Cannot credit them enough and the lovely doctor for her advice and steps going forward. Would highly recommend for any woman who's found herself with gyny distress or pain.
