“I initially took my car to the main dealer, for a health check, as it's still under warranty and the health checks are included in my deal. The car was OK when I went to pick it up but they had an 'advisory list' of things they said needed attention; brake discs, which had a slight lip,handbrake which had too much travel in the handle and the air-conditioning. I asked them how much it would cost and they said £600! My air-conditioning was working fine, they only had it on the list because they had an offer on. I took my car to Walmayne Motors, they told me my brake discs were slightly worn but were perfectly safe and would past an MOT. The handbrake did need adjusting, which they did and charged me £30! It's so nice to find a garage that doesn't try to rip you off.”

“I was quoted £580 parts and labour by another MOT Motorist Centre in Southport I have used before, to replace a single coil spring. I was told they could only buy the part in pairs. I sourced the part (single) myself without difficulty and KW Motors fitted it for £60. Great service and price. A big difference from the other garage. “Short review: Rick, the mechanic, was excellent. He fixed my car, kept me updated and charged me only £60 for what must have been at least a few hours work. Trust worthy. Highly recommend. Will go back to him 100%.Long review: my seat Ibiza 1.6tdi was in limp mode and had glow plug engine management and exhaust symbols on the dash. Error codes indicated faulty boost sensor readings. I researched the problem and highlighted likely causes. I took my car initially to another mechanic, I told him everything I knew. They replaced the sensor. Nothing. I ended up getting the run around a bit but here's not the place to go into detail. Took it my mums mechanic, told him what it could be, and the same, he wasn't sure, he was busy, and he didn't fancy the job.Frustrated I decided to look at it myself. I identified that it was the wiring into the sensor that had corroded, but it's a tight space to work in and I'm not good enough to solder new wires in. That's where rick came in. He listened to everything I said, repaired the car quickly, checked the dpf. He even put in a new rear lamp I had in the boot without asking just chucked it in for me. And he only charged me £60. If you want a mechanic you can have a chat with and trust, without worrying that you might get the run around, ricks your man. Top bloke.”
