For the first ever time, you will see the new store selling hot food. It was a Co-op store that was rebuilt after it was damaged severely due to a fire breakout. On April 21st, the newly done Petrol Filling Station and Food Store will be opened by Central England Co-operative.
In July last year, there was an electrical fault in the building which resulted in the entire building being gutted. Customers were able to shop for fuel and groceries from a temporary kiosk when the renovation and restoration of the burnt building was in place.
When we spoke to a Co-op spokesperson, we learnt that in the new store, there will also be hot food available along with other items that were available previously. You can now visit the Co-op store to shop for beers, wines and spirits as well!
The store manager of Halifax Road, Andrew Bates, also expressed his excitement along with the team members to throw the new store open for public usage.
With a high level of excitement among the customers and staff from Co-op, the reopening day will be a grand event and the rebuilt Petrol Filling Station and Food Store will be opened.
There will also be exciting offers available on the launch day and there are membership options available as well, in a bid to help and assist the local community.
