In a new development B & Q plans to start small stores in London and B & M will takeover the Hartlepool branch

B & Q, one of the leading home improvement retailer; has come up with a small scale store in North London on a trial basis.

While it will be open from March 2017, the new store is only 3,000 square feet and located in Holloway Road. In this store, there will be downsized offerings and the intent would be to deliver to all supports and services.

When we spoke to B & Q, their spokesperson said that the small store will be opened in Central London at 482-488 on Holloway Road. It will boast of home decor, repair and maintenance and other services to support the needs of customers. Also, the customers can choose from over 35,000 products and select the Home delivery option or Click & Collect, at a pricing on par with its national prices.

Lately, 10 stores of B & Q have been revamped, including the branches at Milton Keynes, Bristol and New Maiden, in a bid to be on par with Bunnings from Australia that had acquired Homebase in the preceding year.

Also, B & Q is expected to close 60 of its stores and the most recent one to be closed would be Hartlepool. The condition of Tees Bay Retail Park store is also similar, as B & M stores are planning to take over the premises and it will be launched in spring this year.
