Next and New Look is growing at a rapid pace and as a new development surfaced, we have learnt that they will be moving in to larger stores in Telford.
As per the pre-let agreement, they will be moving to larger premises in Telford Shopping Center and the entire plan is based on a recent change named as The Fashion Quarter.
Next will be moving in to a 30,000 square feet store while New Look is planning to move in to a 16,000 square feet store and they will be having a 10 year lease on the rental.
The Fashion Quarter will also comprise of New Row and New Street, along with House of Fraser as the anchor tenant with Zara and River Island also co-existing.
Sherwood Street will also have a link built and this will lead to the creation of larger stores and more fashion retailers will be attracted as a result of this and the bus station nearby is also set to develop.
Sovereign Centre's Senior Leasing and Asset Manager: Alexandra Pugh, also said that they are responsible for the management of redevelopment on behalf of the owners and with this development, Telford will emerge as a famous destination. There are other retailers as well who are planning to move in and they will make an announcement shortly.
Alexandra also spoke about their investments in The Telford Center and the new Northern and Southern Quarter developments, which are done in a bid to enhance the status of Telford in the neighborhood. The new development will be thrown open to public in 2018 along with a new bus station and the construction is happening at an excellent pace.
The Fashion Quarter is a redevelopment project alongside two other projects: The Southern Quarter, set to open around Easter and the Northern Quarter, which will happen in the area of what was previously ASDA.
It will also host a terrace for large retail units and there are plans for a supermarket as well.
