Poundstretcher have announced that they'll be opening a new store on Sheerness High Street.
As one of the top discount retailers in the UK, Poundstretcher will be filling the unit on Sheerness High Street which was previously occupied by Store Twenty One (which shut their doors in July after their company entered administration).
This new store is expected to open their doors at some point in October and will provide the same standard of products that customers have come to expect. From homeware to toiletries, to groceries and even toys - there's something for everyone at Poundstretcher.
According to a spokesperson for Poundstretcher, "We can't wait for our grand opening in Sheerness - we've worked so hard and can't wait for our customers to see all of the hard work that we've produced."
"We don't yet know the exact opening date but we are aiming to have our store open in mid-October.", they added.
Poundstretcher currently has just over 390 stores across the nation and have already begun advertising for staff in their new Sheerness store. The three jobs which are currently listed include a store manager, deputy store manager, and a trainee store manager.
Although it is not yet set in stone how many new staff will be hired, the spokesperson has revealed that they'll be listing more job vacancies soon enough.
Nearby, Costa Coffee will be opening a new coffee shop at Neats Court on the 2nd of September. This will be their first store on the Isle of Sheppy.
On the other hand, Burger King was also set to open their doors near Costa Coffee but due to issues with their gas supply, there have been further delays. Burger King was originally meant to have opened on the 20th July although, given these issues, no date has been set.
