Excellent service. Can't recommend them enough. Friendly considerate and I have found them always polite even when the customer gets it wrong. Decent price for such a local convenience store . Great for stocking up on holidays. Roll on the summer.

We have had a really lovely holiday at woodhill, would totally recommend it to people, actually, already have done. It?s great for kids with plenty of space to run around in and a really fun playground. My kids sometimes liked to go and meet their friends up in the quiet area too. We had a hard standing fully serviced pitch which was so handy and saved a lot of time, it was also really close to the toilets and showers. Both the ones by reception and the shower rooms and family bathrooms. The showers down by reception were more modern and clean, the ones up in the shower room were perfectly clean but not quite as modern looking but what we did like was that it was basically your own private bathroom where you could use all the facilities in one room. We made use of the great and free activities they have on site, we did archery twice and Nick the archery teacher was brilliant and patient with the children. We had a super time on our beachcomber walk, it was so interesting and the kids just wanted to collect everything and spent all holiday looking for things on the beach once they knew what they were looking for. Then we had a nature walk which wasn?t very long but still enjoyable. The only downside is that we had 2 ridiculously windy nights, where our campervan shook all night and the awning kept coming unhooked. We were told that that was quite unsual though and it is all part of the memories. So thank you Woodhill we had a wonderful time and I?m sure we?ll be back one day.

This is my third return visit as an adult having visited numerous times and created fantastic memories as a child. We drove but I have previously traveled by train from Norwich. There is a bus stop just outside the main entrance which I?ve never had a need to use. We visited this time as family of four (6yr and 10yr) on a XL grass pitch with electric hook up. The pitch is on a slope but that?s the lay of the land and not to a degree that it?s an issue. The site is timeless and largely unchanged in my memory. The big asset is the spectacular views and beautiful location, the site is very simple and traditional which we want, like and will continue to return for. Beach access is a circa 20 minute walk to either East or West Runton. It made clear that it is unsafe to access the beach from the immediate cliff tops not to mention the damage this does - long term erosion. It is a park that takes its environmental impact seriously with various free events (we enjoyed the bird cliff top walk and moth catching). Kids will unfortunately be kids but some litter picking attention to the play park might be wise more often. Areas for improvement: The wifi was useless so don?t expect to rely on it. Vodaphone 4G sufficed for a Teams work call during our stay. Whilst the reception shower block is the most modern and pleasant it isn?t in line with similar parks and not overly practical in use. All other toilet/shower blocks really need a complete rebuild as whilst hot water is generally plentiful and they have been refurbished and are clean they will put a lot of people off and it may us in the near future (warning @Woodhill). Loads of staff including overnight security are based on site and visible throughout the day. This is a quiet family park which is observed without needing to be enforced. A great park which will remain so with a rebuild of the shower/toilet blocks.

The site was well attended to, areas left for wildlife was also present. The washrooms in the reception block were very clean and very well maintained. In fact could not fault, I can not comment on other blocks as I did not use them. The shop was well stocked and the staff very friendly throughout the site, and there was a lot of them. There was a large play area for children and dog exercise area, even if owners did not appear to use this much. The campsite is high up on a cliff and the views were great. The bus stops right outside the campsite and there were several each hour so getting about was easy. The non serviced pitches seem to be flat, ours was a serviced pitch and was not flat, not an issue for us as we have a levelling system. Would use it again when over that side of the country

Excellent site. Very clean and quiet. Facilities were very clean, lots of hot water in showers. Staff were helpful. Pitches were a good size. The only suggestion I would make would be a better range of stock in the on site shop. But I would definitely return.

Friendly staff & warm welcome on arrival. Bus stops to Sheringham or Cromer conveniently at camp entrance but both are also a pleasant walk. Amenities are good and cleanliness maintained. Large grass pitches & view of sea lovely. Highly recommended

Spotlessly clean amenities all close to wherever you pitch. Shop has all basic food and camping stuff. Some pitches are sloped so need to chock wheels. The guy on reception was a little 'flat' upon arrival and the security barrier was open and unstaffed which was a concern. I had a leak in the roof during a thunderstorm, next day staff couldn't lend me a ladder because of Health and Safety' despite offering to sign a disclaimer which was a bit poor. Other than that a beautiful cliff top spot with lots of walks and about a 30 min walk along the beach to Cromer.

Quite possibly one of the best campsites I?ve ever stayed at. Reasonably priced, massive pitch and great location. Special mention to the toilet and shower block. Lovely and clean and like a 5 star hotel. Will definitely be back. Just lovely.

We always book with Sykes and have always been blown away by the standard of the property's and friendliness of the owners. Woodhill in cottingham was indeed an impressive house. There were 8 of us and all the bedrooms were en suit. We chose this property for the ground floor accommodation as my mum is disabled, now while it's not actually advertised as such there is a ramp outside the outside door to allow access for a wheelchair and the en suite has a lovely walk in shower. However... there are no hand rails which would be very useful and the bed was extremely low, this lead to some minor problems. The curtain tie backs were also very unsuitable, razor Shap and at head height for small children. The living room was deff not big enough for 8 people and infact there were only 7 chairs. There's no way you could light the log burner with that many people or furniture in such a small room! The dining room was great and there's a very lovely large kitchen. Sadly the cleanliness in these to rooms was severely lacking!!!! Inches of dirty dust round the skirting and rusty baking trays and bread bin in the kitchen. The oven deff hadn't been cleaned in a while either! The washing machine left a bit to be desired and then it broke down and couldn't be fixed while we were there, not a problem but it was filthy. The carpet on the landing was very very stained and also one of the double mattresses. The shower head in my room was filthy!! Having said all that we, as a family had a good time. The area is lovely and the beaches along the Yorkshire coast are beautiful. I think woodhill could just do with a mega deep clean and some new bits and pieces purchased from the very local b and m. Personally we wouldn't stay there again but will deff be back to Yorkshire! Oh it's also very cold I the house, most of the radiators don't seem to work and neither did the outside security lights ? Come on Sykes, keep a check on ur properties!!

The site has spacious pitches and clean facilities. Easy walk to town and bus stops immediately outside the site. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby for meals out and visiting food vans on certain days.

We have stayed here for at least a week most years over the last decade. Location, layout and quietness remain unbeatable. Shower block (?newer? one near shop) is a letdown, looks good but taps are awful (push button that either don?t push atall or water cuts off as soon as you remove your hand), showers are all inconsistent and at least two of the four require the button pressing every 10 seconds to keep the water flowing. Just feels like the shower block has been overlooked, even the bin is the same broken one that has been present and broken for at least the last 3 years. A real shame as everything else is very good but over a 10 day stay the bathroom facilities did become an issue.

Everything was fabulous about our experience at Woodhill Park. From reservation to leaving. The site was clean, safe and well organised. ALL the staff were friendly, professional and helpful, from the staff in reception, the cleaners, security and the off-duty staff on site. Their humour and friendly smiles were much appreciated. The kids play park was fabulous and the free classes (we did the guided moth waqlk, beachcombing and wildlife walk) were organised and informative. The adults were as enthralled as the kids. The location was also key, a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5-10 minute drive to Cromer. We have already booked to go back next year and, having spoken to other campers while we were there, so will they.

We stayed 6 nights, the site overall is good but some quirks to consider. 1. The lower touring field is close to a main road, if you are put off by road noise then I?d avoid booking on the lower field, personally we didn?t find it too much of an issue. 2. Showers and amenities dependant on what you are depends on the block you use, we were using the reception block we had to time our showers at certain points of the day either before 7 or in the evening to ensure we had water pressure as at peak times it is a dribble at best. Once again something to consider if staying but this wasn?t an issue for us. Overall not a bad stay but we possibly only ever stay outside of peak times.
