Rated 4 star by the AA but 5 star by my wife and I!We had a mid week break here, the second time we have stayed and we would like to go again. The room was well decorated and spotless with a Nespresso machine, small TV and a very comfy bed along with a lovely view across the reed beds towards the church.Good breakfast, the chef baked the bread fresh and it's something special. Dinner in the evening was excellent. We both loved the food and I'm hard to please when it comes to eating out.The staff were very attentive and the customer service was very good.A special mention for Faye who was charming and really knows how to make guests feel welcomed. Thank you. There are superb walks straight from the hotel which is also very dog friendly.Highly recommended.

Breaky was sensational maybe a little salty but amazing overall. The room was lovely and relaxing staff all very friendly and attentive.I was also very happy that they had a bath. ALSO the toiletries smelt amazing!Walkability: Great walkability to the clay on sea loop walk but you would likely need a car to get to the hotel I think.

Visited The George having stayed the night at Cley Windmill. Booked in advance. Great menu selection. The staff were very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty. Fairly expensive but well worth the money. Delicious puddings. Would definitely recommend.

Dropped in for an excellent late lunch on an icy mid-week vacation in the area. Sunny dining area was warm, calm and comfortable - well presented dishes - my moules frites (local Brancaster mussels) were delicious.

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch at the George and Dragon whilst staying nearby with a group of friends. Had to do a review as was 5 star in every way. All the food we had was amazing , the service was on point and lovely ambience with a gorgeous Xmas feel. So great to have a meal out with all of us commenting on how good it was. Well done to the George and Dragon.

Really attractive pub, think whoever decorated it had a great time in the local antiques shops, look out for the fireplace shaped like a mediaeval helmet and the carved lectern! Ideal location for walks in Cley and Blakeney, absolutely perfect! Staff were friendly, food (well, breakfast) was good quality and well presented, everywhere was clean. Obviously dog-friendly too which was nice. My little room was charming, comfortably appointed with a nice attention to detail. Lovely views of the village and the marshes, could watch the sun set. Comfortable bed! Good quality toiletries in the bathroom and lots of hot water. Plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits laid on for hungry walkers! I only booked one night but liked it so much that I booked a second night! Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic stay, can't recommend it enough. Faye, front of house, couldn't be more helpful. We will definitely be going back to stay. Rooms well appointed and clean. Five stars all the way!!Rooms: Very well appointed and really nice and clean, it felt like you were the first person to occupy the room.Food & drinks: Should be in the good food guide, venison ragu absolutely delicious!

Very disappointing, lacked atmosphere, strange choice of background music. Table although sprayed and wiped prior to us being seated was sticky, the window sill next to the table was grubby and sticky. The knives we were given to eat our food with were so blunt they wouldn't even cut the salad leaves on my plate. The lunch menu looked OK, but rather expensive. Sandwich, chips and salad £17!!! The waitress was petting three or four dogs in the restaurant and then returned to the bar serving drinks and food to tables without washing her hands, yuk.

Food was very basic, with very little choice. The menu was handed to me with wet tomatoe stains on it.The table which had just been cleaned was sticky to the point my mobile stuck to the table top.The waitresses had stains down the front of her trousers, it was not a good experience at all.
