In Norfolk for a weeks holiday, this was a good local to have close by. Easy access, big shop and well stocked. Exactly how you expect Sainsburys to be

Fantastic service from a very helpful young person working in the candle aisle last week, going over and beyond to help me find a specific peony and white lilly candle. I have been to this North Walsham store on a few occasions and the older person at smart shop has always been so helpful, they will remember me as the mug exchange person :)Topstore made better with great staff: D

On Wednesday I used the self service till. I paid for approximately £50 of produce in cash, packed the items. I then swiped items to the value of £38. I chose the card payment option the result of which was to take two payments for £38 they tried a third time but they?d got all my money was d gone and it was declined. At this stage there were three members of the public at self service check out and no staff in attendance. The lady opposite had a problem and the light flashed red. The result was humiliating as it appeared that I had no money and the food that cost £38 and was paid for twice, was returned. I was mortified as I was sure I had £75 in account. It is now Saturday and after speaking with Santander several times, even supplying CEOs office with the details it has been stated categorically by bank, this is Sainsbury?s error from their machine. On Thursday morning at 8.00am I presented myself at Sainsbury?s, as requested by a manager the previous night, having been told the store would help. At 8.00am I approached a manager and asked to speak in private. He said no. We were standing at front doors , people walking in and I didn?t want to discuss it in public, again I asked to speak in private. The manager Hans said no. I then began to explain but the stress of no access to money held in limbo and the humiliation of the night before. I?ve spoken to the Sun EDP, MP and I will follow that with a call to the House of Lords. Newsnight confirmed that systematic PROFFITERING whilst the dead piled high occurred during pandemic. They have been shown this week to have used unethical methods to manipulate the price at the Petrol pumps with the excuse that the excess profits are used to discount their products.. After repeated telephone calls to customer support, refused access to head office team, speaking with citizens advice and trading standards and being informed that it was offer and acceptance and Sainsbury?s was in breach of contract., I have left details with MPs office. Hans the manager could have used some managerial discretion and asked how I was coping with no money. Not interested if I was in need. After dealing with this company of grifters from Wednesday night to Friday afternoon I purchased a bottle of gum and saw Hans I made it clear to him that from the second I had the misfortune to make his acquaintance that he had provided a shoddy service, that I found him incompetent and absolutely useless. I was then told he found that abusive and threatening and I woulda be banned from shop if I continued. I turned around, thought about the threat and decided that it was more important to let him know lthat I consider him a chocolate starfish. I was banned from a store. I walked away Hans followed me outside and rushed in front of me blocking my progress. I was completely boxed in outside the store, windows on left bollards on right. Hans is half my age and several inches taller and I told him to move. BE AWARE SELF SERVICE tills could do the same to you

Good sainsbury well stocked every time we visited. Big car park, pound coin for the trolley was a pain when you hardly ever have cash.

It's hard to rate a supermarket like sainsburys. It does what tescos, morrisons etc do and that is it provides goods. It does it adequately and I can't say anything bad about it but I can't say it's got a unique selling point either

Not the best Sainsbury store I have visited with quite a tired park park and tired store internals. Food ok. It's a little hard to find but if you short of most anything it's worth a call. Not a patch on Waitrose up the road

It was a Saturday afternoon and there was only 2 tills on, the rest were self service. Not good if you had alot of shopping like me and had to queue down the aisles! Very crammed as you then had to keep moving for shoppers. No idea why only 2 tills open as there were plenty of staff standing about trying to look important with their clipboards but not really doing anything. Going to start using another store. No point reviewing the rest of the store as this completely ruined it for me

Very good Sainsbury's store, large and well laid out. In addition to normal supermarket things, they have lots of clothes (mainly ladies), fresh pizzas, bakery, decent seasonal goods, a new Starbucks coffee machine and an Argos on site.
