Tired and in need of some Tlc. Seat cover on bench threadbare. Food was good but service was shocking. The waitress were lovely people but clearly in need of proper training and managerial direction, there appeared to be no overall supervisor. We were not offered a child's menu and had to find our own, no water carafe which was part of the children's menu, lack of cutlery after starters. We sat waiting for our table to be cleared as one of the waitresses stood talking to who we presume to be her partner for some considerable time in the middle of the restaurant. Would go back to a Cafe Rouge but not this one!

Food was expensive for what it was. Pretty average really.
It was the hottest day of the year, 33 degrees and the air conditioning had broken some weeks before so we were told by a member of the waiting team. It was like a furnace in the cafe so we didn't have a dessert, just needed to get out fast. As did a few other customers that we saw leaving. The poor girls serving were about to drop with heat exhaustion, but they were still very friendly and efficient, especially Lauren. All credit due to her in such awful conditions. Again, as in many large businesses, it would appear money over staff welfare!!!!! Cafe Rouge, you should be ashamed that you expect your staff to work in such awful circumstances. Would we go back, probably not, as this was not the first time the food was not up to scratch.

Extremely disappointing. We had a Virgin Experience Day voucher so we only had access to a incredibly limited menu which was unexciting. We waited 30 minutes for a starter despite the place being empty and a further 30 minutes in-between each other course, including seeing our drinks sat on the bar counter whilst staff chatted. I almost got up to collect them. Main was a measly portion of chips, a salad consisting of 95% dry stringy lettuce and the tiniest steak in the world. The waitress was friendly and apologetic and hence 2 stars instead of 1 but it's definitely not a place I will revisit.

The food here is great, and the aesthetics of the restaurant are lovely. However I'm almost made to feel guilty when I use my Wuntu codes (huge discounts as a Three customer). Guys, were not all planning on just ordering tap water and being a nusense. Just because we're using vouchers it doesn't mean we're not willing to leave tips if the service is good either.

Just like a lot of other reviewers, had a disappointing experience here yesterday lunchtime. Waiting 45 minutes for order to arrive and wife's small bowl main course of beef bourguignon was a million miles from what this dish should be. A few lumps of fatty meat and layers of mashed potato just not good enough. I was halfway through my burger before the requested mustard arrived. Saw several other customers walk out because they had been waiting too long to even get a menu. Table next to us did likewise upon being told they had run out of chicken. Slow service meant had to join a queue at counter to settle bill. Sorry, will not return here.
