My Daughter used John Oliver?s at Elm Hill last week for the first time, she got exactly what she asked for and was very very happy with the end result. A massive thank you to Steph for arranging the appointment and also a massive thank you to Georgia for doing the work. Everyone at John Oliver?s are very professional and friendly, we will 100% be coming back and would recommend to others.

Got my hair cut with Phillip and asked for 2 inch trim on my 27 inch hair and have just arrived home and measured my hair and it is 21 inches. When I first expressed my concern about it being too short in the chair he looked at me and completely ignored me. After I went downstairs to the reception to pay I was very upset but the absolutely lovely receptionist hugged me and made me feel better. She asked Phillip to come downstairs to which he angrily exclaimed ?you asked for 2 inches and that?s what I cut. Conversation done.? And stomped back upstairs. I was in floods of tears by this point and was disgusted by his reaction. Luckily the receptionist comforted me which I really appreciated but I still had to pay full price. After being outside for a few hours my hair has frizzed up into a big poof ball as he did not apply enough product. He even made a snarky remark in the chair saying ?bet you never get your hair this straight at home?. Yes I do Phillip and when I do my hair myself it will stay straight and frizz free for days.

I was nervous to have my hair cut after I had a bad experience elsewhere but Mark did a lovely job! He took great care and was a total perfectionist which is just what I needed.I had my hair washed by Zara who was lovely and very patient with my very knotty hair!I also had a very last minute consultation and skin test with Georgia (and another lovely girl who I can?t quite remember their name) who did a couple of last minute strand tests for me which was really appreciated. Have now booked in for a balayage at the Elm St site thanks to Georgias advice! (I would have loved to have it done at the Red Lion St branch but im just eager to get it done soon haha)

A very professional, friendly salon and the staff look after you really well. Sarah is my stylist and has been colouring and cutting my hair for a few years now. Thoroughly recommend this salon, the service is superb.

Can?t comment on the quality of the salon as I couldn?t get past their gatekeeper/receptionist.Called into the Red Lion branch on Saturday & asked if I?d be able to book a Saturday appt - to which I was told there were none, there was nothing before March (tho she didn?t actually look)& id have to come back to have a patch test & consultation done. I said I was hoping I could have a patch test done there & then & was told well yeah I could but I still wouldn?t be able to get an appointment. If she?d let me speak for 2 minutes without interrupting, I would have said I could probably get a day off in the week which their online booking system shows does have availability.She then suggested I go to Benedict?s street as there were loads of hairdressers there. I told her I had just moved to Norwich & didn?t know where that was - just google it was her response.What she didn?t suggest was trying your other salon on Elm Hill at which I can see online you have Saturday availability every weekend for the next couple of months - but a girl can take a hint.You might want to invest in some customer service training for Kelly ( that google is handy?)

I've been coming to John Olivers, Red Lion St for just over a year now. Can't recommend it enough. Sarah is a superb colourist; really knows her stuff and I trust her advice and judgement completely. My hair has got a natural wave to it which can be a pain to manage. Stylist Garry is great with my layering so that the wave is a lot more manageable. The atmosphere in the salon is relaxed and pleasant, no overly loud music and clean. Would thoroughly recommend John Olivers.

Received a brilliant haircut from Damien when I went in just after Christmas. My hair is really fine and tricky to cut (I have been told by other stylists) but he cut it so beautifully. Really listened to what I wanted and gave me a version of the haircut that I had seen and liked the look of that actually worked on my hair. It looks nice even without any styling at all, which is perfect for me because I am super lazy with my hair! I have had my hair cut by him once before a couple of years ago whilst visiting family (I'm not local to Norfolk) and had such a good experience I decided to go back when I was there for the holidays. All the other staff seem really friendly and nice too.

John Oliver Red Lion St is a great established salon and I wouldn?t trust going anywhere else. Calm atmosphere and they look after you really well. Top top marks to Nicola for brilliant haircuts (with difficult hair)!

Louis was a perfectionist, he really fixed my blonde home disaster with 3 colours of blonde and a tonerI felt he knew exactly what he was doing and he knew what look i was hoping to achieve and I was really happy with the result

I have been having my hair cut and blow dryed by the lovely Teigan. The minute you walk into the salon you have a warm welcome at reception, then go upstairs to be greeted by one of the staff who are always waiting, once again a warm greeting. Teigan is a delight, professional through and through and cuts my hair exactly how I want it. She checks in with me to see if I want any more off etc and works with me. I leave the salon feeling that I've had a lovely cut and always very happy with the way she cuts. I recommend John Oliver and Teigan 100%.

I have been going to John Olivers for more than 20 years and for the past 15 years Damien has been cutting my hair and Sarah colouring it. I cannot praise them both enough for the quality of their service. I am constantly being complimented both on my colour and my cut. Staff at the salon are always friendly and professional.
