Husband and I went for a quick bite to eat. Had no reservation but as we were quite early they happily obliged and let us have a table.We both had the burger with Stilton and chips.The chips were chunky just how I like them and the burger tasted amazing. I'm just sorry I didn't take a picture before diving in to eat it.

What a super pub, the staff are so friendly and the food is superb. Highly recommend this place.

Went to the anvil with friends for a meal and to be honest I cannot wait to go back. Service was the best owner and staff so welcoming and friendly in fact nothing was too much. As for the food I had the fish n chips and it was the best. All I can say is I highly recommend the anvil as myself and my 6 friends thoroughly... read full comment
