Not the fault of the staff at all, but on a busy Saturday afternoon, with a HUGE queue, there was one person on the counter and the self service machines were all out of order. The service isn't brilliant but in the same circumstances, if I worked there, I'd be less courteous than she was. She must have the patience of a saint... Also, while the packaging is for sale right next to the Post Office counter, you have to pay for it separately at a WH Smith till. Not brilliant.

I visited today to return 2 old passports using the signed for service, it was nice and quiet and once the clerk had finished sorting out some parcels behind the counter first she was friendly and helpful.

Drove here from 13 miles away to post something that needed to go today and was told by a very rude member of staff that they closed early. The closing early without warning was irritating but can't be helped, it was her terrible attitude and appalling customer service that prompted this review. Go elsewhere!

I ordered an Amazon parcel for collection here and have been turned away twice. The first time was because I didn?t have an ID even though I had a purchase receipt and confirmation of order. Today I went in at 5pm and was told they were shut despite the closing time being 5:30.Other than that it seems like a pretty decent post office, but very poorly managed/staffed.

Sendind an old Broadband router using a returns label from BT, the post office operator fobbed me off saying that it was not valid that I have to contact BT for a new label. I went to the Post Office in Starbeck, no problem.

Closed early without notice and after we'd driven in especially from out of town to post as the item needed to be sent ASAP. Have now wasted £10 in diesel and no chance of it going before Monday morning. Feel severely aggrieved.

Just dumb. I wish I could be more complimentary, but this place is a haphazard mess. It's run like an afterthought. Queued to use the self service, then had to queue again (!!) to hand the package in. What is the point of self service when it turns out to be a waste of time. It would have been faster to just walk it across the country.

It wasn't possible to renew my driver's licence as the tablet for the photo capture had a technical fault. Was told it's a wider issue affecting lots of post offices. The tablets aren't fit for purpose.

Worst customer service ever experienced? women at the counter told me she refused my parcel as couldn?t remember make of the candle, shocking service and rude attitude, she advised it they may destroy my parcel.

I feel compelled to write about my experience after reading so many bad reviews, because I had a really great experience.It was towards the end of the day when I arrived at the post office, and the employee at the counter who greeted me was nevertheless cheerful, engaged, and quite helpful. His name was Richard and he was a total rock star! I had questions about how to send a small package internationally, and he was not only very well-informed, but also patient and non-judgemental regarding my questions about the process. He volunteered information about the courier companies and about the shipping times, and he outlined my shipping options for me in a clear way and didn't try to pressure me into any particular choice. He even pointed out future moneysavers! Overall I had a really excellent customer experience thanks to Richard, and I will definitely be using this branch again!
