Great cosy pub, with excellent food, great beer selection and wonderful staff. One of my favourites of Knaresborough.

Many tables reserved but got a table for two alright. Small but varied menu with usual pub fare, reasonably priced.

Been in a few times for beers and drinks. Great selection of house and guest ales and decent cocktails. Though expensive.Bar service was good.Saturday night food was a disaster, tried to order starters and mains and told as kitchen was busy everything would come out at once. This made no sense to us but when we questioned it was reiterated. Because we didn?t want a table full of food and to have our mains go cold whilst eating starters we changed the order to burgers only. They were pretty terrible, as others have said the bread was over toasted to the point of being hard and all 4 of us found the burger was underdone to the point of still being mushy mince. Our waitress was clearly new to the trade so hey ho but I also suspect that whoever was in the kitchen or managing the pass was new/not very good.

Delicious food, amazing service and could sit a group of 6 on a Saturday lunch time without prior booking.

Food is fairly good. Above average (burger had lots of flavour, and pea & halloumi sandwich was interesting though a bit lacking in flavour) but not exceptional. Interesting beers are a welcome suprise. Nice atmosphere - busy and had a log fire.

Warm welcome from the bar staff, great well kept beer, beautiful sharing cheese board and a generally lovely bar. Open fire lit, people talking and everything you'd want from a modern pub. We also had the privilege of meeting the Landlord who gave the perfect introduction. Definitely take time to visit and enjoy the food, drinks and warm welcome. Nice work team

A charming place just off the main square. The staff/proprietors were so friendly and welcoming. I'm not sure whether the place sells itself as a tearoom during the day or a bistro bar in the evenings. We found it a lovely spot to chill out after a day out in Harrogate. The menu isn't extensive, but there was enough to satisfy both of us, and generally it's better to do a few things really well, rather than have a large mediocre menu. Portions were good too. There was a good selection of beers and wines (an exceptional plum porter for me). There's a lovely enclosed fire, which added to the charm of the place. It seemed quite a few people came in just to drink and chat. I hope we can return some time in the new year.

Six Poor Folk is an impressive spot. The seating area and bar are fantastic, providing a comfortable space to relax. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The outside area with benches and heaters is a great addition, perfect for enjoying a drink or a smoke. Overall, Six Poor Folk offers a delightful experience.

Our first visit and disappointed, scalded coffee, over cooked poached egg, greasy hash, after our initial fabulous friendly welcome when the owner was in !!!!! the service was nonexistent when he left, sadly nothing to make us return.
