“Only stayed for a short 3 night break. Chris and Emma are friendly and are there to answer any questions you might have. We had room number 1, which was at the top of the stairs. The room was clean and tidy. It had tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Biscuits and little cartons of milk, but if you preferred you could get fresh milk. You just need to ask. The Biscuits get refreshed every day. If you need fresh towels, you just need to put the dirty ones in the shower, and you will get fresh ones. There is a welcome folder that gives you a little history about Chris and Emma, contact phone numbers for taxi firms if you require. There are also directions on how to get to the town centre if you wish to walk, it takes about 10 mins but depends on how fast you walk. If you come out of the bed and have breakfast and turn left, you can take the walk along the cliffs. There is also the cliff top lift that takes you down to the beach, which is very useful it is £2.20 return per person. There is also a lounge for the people to sit and relax in with a juke box that you could play if you wanted to.You get a breakfast card each morning to tick what you require for the next day. They cards need to be in the biwl on the dresser by 8.00pm the night before. The new ones are on your table in the morning for the following day. You just need to put your name, room no, and tick what time you would like your breakfast. You have the choice of 3 different times you just tick what time suits you. You just tick what you would like for your breakfast, and you also get asked what type of toast you'd like. You have the choice of tea and coffee as well. You help yourself to the orange juice and jams. There is a list of what the jams are for your information. Each table has room numbers on them, and that's your table for the duration of your stay.”

“Last October we stayed in Park Dean Whitley Bay and had a wonderful time This year we chose Cayton and if anything enjoyed it even more Good facilities, the swimming pool in particular was a real winner with my daughter Entertainment was wonderful We had a really lovely server in the restaurant called rachael, who went out of her way to make sure my family and I were well looked after Despite the weather being less than desirable we had thoroughly wonderful time in comfy accommodation and with excellent staff”

“We went looking for a new mattress with only a rough idea of mattress we were looking for. The staff were very friendly and helpful and encouraged us to have a good lie down to test some mattresses out. Unlike some other bed shops we visited they weren't pushy in getting a sale and even recommended a cheaper mattress rather than one of the top end based on what we needed. The mattress was also delivered quickly and to the bedroom we wanted it in. If ever we need a new mattress or bed we'd definitely stick with Scarborough Bed Warehouse.”

“As usual found the store to be clean and tidy. Came in to purchase curtains and found exactly what I was looking for at sale price. It was great to buy an expensive pair of curtains at half the price. Staff were very helpful and attentive.”

“Brilliant stay here. The staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Dave on reception is an absolute diamond. The hotel was lovely and warm (even in storm babette(?) ) and the food was fresh and tasty. The spa is lovely if a bit difficult to access ( due to the age of the building)I'm in a wheelchair, but Andy helped my husband to get me down to pool level.Would definitely recommend this place.Walkability: I'm in a wheelchair but the funicular is very close and takes you straight down to the promenade.”
