“My husband purchased two camping tables. He noticed a garden lounge set , reduced from £1200 to £249.He came home telling me about it so we went back to buy it.I was told there weren’t any in stock and they weren’t allowed to sell the display model.This had come from head office.Now head office can send as many messages as they like to the shop floor but it’s the people facing the public who are getting all the flack!I asked to see the manager , he was lovely and understood where I was coming from when I said why have something on sale if you haven’t any stock and can’t sell the display model.He took my name and number and said he’d have it packaged for me two days later.I thought he was fobbing me off and would phone to say he couldn’t sell it, but the next day Robin called and asked if I’d like to go for it !My husband went and said the staff couldn’t have been nicer , even hunting out a cover for the chairs!Then Andrew helped him carry it out and packed it in the car .A 5 * service from all at Go Outdoors YorkSue Smith , Teesside”
