I couldn't ask for a better hotel! The rooms are so nice with very cool decour. But the real star of the hotel are the staff. They are beyond lovely and so incredibly understanding. They helped me in a difficult time and I am so very grateful for that. I couldn't speak any more highly of this place!

We had an excellent stay! Absolutely loved the aesthetic of the room we stayed in and the townhouse as a whole, it feels very cozy, we wish our home could be the same! Teddy is a great resident, very polite and always happy to be stroked. The staff are very polite and friendly, we arrived quite late in Tuesday and the Cameron showed us to our room and gave us all information, Cameron was an amazing host and a great asset to the team. Next time we are visiting York we will be choosing here as our number one choice for stay. We can see all the rooms are designed individually and would like to stay in each room over time!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with lovely attentive staff. We stayed in a standard double, highlights were the comfy bed and waterfall showerLocation wise it was a quick walk from the train station and an even quicker walk to the Minster. Honestly couldn?t have had a better stay and will be back if I?m ever in York again!Rooms: Beautiful rooms, very cleanNearby activities: 5 minute walk to the city centre and all the main attractions, location wasn?t an issue at allWalkability: Location wise it was a quick walk from the train station and an even quicker walk to the Minster.

Positives- Customer service is excellent.- The room we stayed in was lovely and it was the one we requested.- Bar area is nice.- location is pretty good but is is still a good 15 minute walk to the City.Negatives- Although it may be the done thing in the area, I absolutely resent paying £15 for parking when I am paying the best part of £300 for the room!- The room opposite was beeping most the time we were there because the people in there obviously cannot shut a door!- Only Nescafe sachets in the room! I despise instant coffee and for the price of the room a pod machine or at least an option for a filter coffee.- Breakfast was very poor, eggs hugely over done, very cheap luminous apple juice and concentrate orange juice. Charging for a coffee from the coffee machine after having instant coffee in the rooms.....We would personally stay again but only if the above is addressed.

Clementine's Town House is quaint and quirky while retaining modern amenities and service. The location is ideal as it puts you close to town while still getting the feel of staying in a more residential area. The staff on site was welcoming and friendly, but also managed to stay nearly invisible. It gave the town house an extremely homey feel, like you're staying at a wealthy relatives estate while they're out of town. Our room was absolutely divine, the rain shower and velvet love seat being two of my favorite features. The juxtaposition of post punk art and Victorian features throughout the town house are such a smart design choice and keep the place feeling updated and fun. We also enjoyed the bar area in the evening next to the cosy fireplace, it was a comfortable and relaxing with ambient music and the company of a sweet little cat. The fresh clementines placed in the bar area in the morning we're also an adorable touch. This boutique hotel experience exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend choosing it for a cosy stay in York. Thank you for such a memorable experience Clementine's, I hope to return soon!

First impressions of this hotel were good. A very pleasant receptionist, we had booked a very pricey deluxe room as a treat and were given room 25. After settling in we thought that this was very small for what we had expected and asked reception to change our room, we were then given room 26 which was certainly better but I?m sure still not of deluxe size, but we decided to make the best of it so as not to spoil our break. The next day we were disappointed in housekeeping as it?s the first time in a long while of staying in hotels that the bed hadn?t been remade, although housekeeping had been in the room and refreshed the tea/coffee. Rather disappointing as I don?t think the hotel was full and having booked well in advance they knew what room we had booked.Rooms: See above

We stayed one night on a 2-day November visit to York. As expected the hotel is interestingly quirky. The public spaces are well decorated with a comfortable bar and breakfast space. The service was friendly and always helpful - and it was a pleasure meeting Ted the cat. Our room (22) was up two flights of stairs. There isn't a lift so this room would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The room was fine with a comfortable bed but looked a little tired. Breakfast was good. Hotel car parking is tight but we found an available space (£15 a day). There is an outside courtyard garden which looked nice despite a cold and rainy autumn evening. The hotel is well located and only a short walk from the Minster. Good value for York. Definitely recommended.
