“Not the biggest of home bargains, which means it doesn't stock the biggest selection of things I've seen before, but it uses its space well and all the shelves are well-filled.The staff are friendly, there are always enough around so if you need help, you will be able to easily find someone. The store is typically clean and tidy. There can occasionally be long queues at the checkouts as there's never normally more than 2 checkouts open.”

“Recently went in and they were selling some novelty pens which were ideal for my classroom prize box. I told the lady at the counter, this is what I was buying them for. Without me asking, she spent a fair bit of time going through all the pens to find any more discounted ones that I could purchase for my class. Extremely helpful! Wonderful staff. A very happy class!”

“A very large store with a huge range of products on offer. The store was clean and tidy, the aisles were wide enough that you can easily walk past someone browsing at the shelves without walking into them. There were staff around, but they weren't always easy to locate due to the sheer number of aisles that they could have been down. They could have also done with opening a few more tills during our visits, as the queue was quite long..”

We ordered a vegan soup which came with bread and salad all for £7, and also a sandwich with came with three salad items also£7. My daughter said the shop was delicious, it was hot and thick. The salad was also lovely, I particularly enjoyed the cauliflower one . Service was quite slow, but friendly enough.”

“The Poundland store in York offers a wide range of everyday items at affordable prices. This is an undeniable advantage, as one can find essential products at a lower cost. However, the quality of these items can sometimes be poor. While the price is attractive, it is important to keep in mind that the quality of the products can vary. Some items may turn out to be of low quality or have a limited lifespan. It is therefore advisable to be cautious when making a purchase and carefully assess the quality before deciding. The customer service in the store can be somewhat impersonal. The employees do not always seem very engaged, and the interaction with them may lack warmth and friendliness. This can give the impression that customer service is not a priority.Nevertheless, if you are looking for essential items at a budget-friendly price, Poundland can be an interesting option. You can find everyday items at a lower cost, which can be economically advantageous. In summary, Poundland in York offers attractive prices on everyday items, but the quality can vary, and the customer service can be impersonal.
