Visited recently for lunch with my Mum, we got there a little early for the lunch menu, the helpful waitress said we could wait until 11.30am - so we did, whilst enjoying a cup of tea. She brought over the lunch menu so we could decide our options, whilst time passed, which we appreciated.I ordered the chilli non carne (a veggie alternative to a meat based chilli) and my Mum ordered the chicken stack. Both were served promptly, whilst still allowing us enough time to visit the salad bar. Food stayed hot all the way through, and was tasty. Mum even had to get a free takeaway box to take some of the chicken home, because she was full up.The waitress was friendly, and attentive and not pushy about add on extras for that 'up-sale.' The toilets were clean and fresh - obviously well maintained. I would definitely recommend this Harvester, and we will be visiting again in the future.

Had an amazingly nice three course Christmas Dinner on Boxing Day. Service was impeccable and the whole experience brilliant. Can't recommend them highly enough. Really value for money.

It was ok. It used to be better. The front of house staff were efficient. From someone who has been a chef for over 10 years I did expect better. The jacket potato was dry and the gravy was like discoloured water and flavourless.I ordered simply chicken, this was far superior when it was on your menu some 8/10 years ago.Maybe it was the chefs?Overall, I do like Harvesters I just wish they?d do better with their food menu and its quality. (It was really good before lockdown).Parking: Tons of parking available

Food was horrendous. Half chicken came pink, mash was tasteless and gravy was brown water. All three on our table were unhappy with the food and everything we asked our server for she got wrong. She kept apologising, but asking for a coke and getting a glass of water and leaving food on the bill that they didn?t even have available was a bit daft. It wasn?t busy either so it?s not as though they were run off their feet. Really disappointed meal after a long day visiting York, definitely do not recommend and glad we won?t be back.

If I could zero stars I would , last minute booking , thought it was children friendly. Finally got a waiter to take our order not helpful. Food arrived over half an hour. Ordered pasta and chicken skewers , the pasta was luke warm and the chicken was stone cold. The chips were warm but scrag ends. Waiter asked if ok we asked to see manager , seemed very disinterested but said he could get it warmed up !!!! Chicken warmed up err don't think so plus we had a 3 year old getting irritable , my partner ate 1/2 the pasta I tried one piece of chicken. But left the best. We walked out didn't pay , and no intention of doing soDire service dire food completely spoilt my birthday. My advice AVOID AT ALL COSTSAnd if resolving the issue is to reheat the food up (chicken ) or recooking the food which would take at least 30 minutes with an impatient 3 year old is acceptable then your customer services is dire

Extremely good value, especially with the salad bar. Lots of choice on the menu. Staff very friendly. Just need to keep on top of replenishing the salad bar area, although they did bring out fresh if it was brought to their attention. All around, good dining experience, so we visited twice on our 3 night break away.

Very busy, Saturday, but must have been expected by staff. One half of the salad bar had empty trays, and no-one seemed to be keeping an eye on it. Service very slow - not enough serving-staff. Food - 4 meals for our group of five were fine but the Balance bowl had none of the advertised buckwheat, broad beans spring onion or crunchy slaw. Didn't want to complain and spoil an evening out with our grandchildren, but overall experience was not good value for money.

Good parking flat level access and quickly seated on a Saturday lunchtime. Standard Harvester fayre, well cooked and delivered in a timely fashion. Staff quite busy so getting refills took a bit of effort and the deserts are a little on the small side, otherwise reasonably good experience, quite happy to make a return visitDietary restrictions: Staff mindful of dietary restrictions and careful to enquire about allergiesKid-friendliness: Children and young families quite abundantWheelchair accessibility: Flat level access and wide-ish doors, unless you have a wide powered wheelchair, easily big enough for a tilt-in-space chair, there was one at the next table to me.

Used to enjoy coming but this time the food i didn't think was very good at all. There was 4 of us but 2 of the meals, the skewers and wings had stone cold sauce over hot meat. Really ruined the taste, was dissapointed as it was my daughters 10th birthday. She wasn't given or offered a Colouring pack either even though I saw other kids with them. I had let the restaurant know it was a Birthday but nothing special was done or mentioned

Food was nice apart from my balance bowl missing half its ingredients. Service was not the greatest from our server as he was very sullen. Other downside was the hygiene level. Floors were very dirty and the toilets were quite grubby. Would go again if we were desperate.

Wasn't totally rammed but was a few in and waited a while for someone to take our orders even for a drink so we all decided to order off the app.First time at an Harvester and found the food ok. Free buffet salad which was a bonus, ordered simply chicken and was nice although the chicken I had appeared no better then the portions you get for £2 from Aldi I was hoping it was going to be a full supreme breast and got a dried scallop.

I brought some residents here for lunch. The staff we re so friendly and helpful and helping us find a table appropriate for a wheelchair with enough room for us to move around, got use cutlery that weren't out, got us dustpan and brushes when we requested. The food was nice and good value.Kid-friendliness: They have a few booths with tvs in it palying children's TV which is a brilliant idea! And there's a wacky warehouse!Wheelchair accessibility: Most of it is wheelchair friendly and they were very helpful to find ud somewhere suitable for our needs.

We both ordered the smoked salmon (kitchen agreed)It was bone dry, the mash had a warm plasticine/ texture & taste less, the hollandaise sauce - poor!Very friendly manager.Ratatouille- taste less...and the peas..well just peas like you can have at home.We were offered to have something else of the menu but declined as we had no confidence in the kitchen to produce something delicious as the basics could not even done well.Very disappointing and will not visit again or recommend.
