Good and accessible to wheelchairs, with lifts to upper floors. Good accessible toilet facilities too. Aisles mostly wide enough with a bit of manoeuvring.

My husband and I had breakfast at The Pavement Marks and Spencer in York on 25th August '21.\\nThe staff, Courtney, Sophie and Steph were all lovely.\\nI cannot eat food containing wheat or gluten. And when I asked if the sausages where gluten/wheat free, they went out of their way to find out, bringing to us the food allergens list allowing me to see for myself. As it happens they use gluten/wheat free sausages, which is great. Because of cross infection they actually brought me a pack of four GF bread buns and said that we could keep them with no extra charge as they were not allowed to handle them.\\nI'd like to say a big thank you for being so helpful, understanding abs obliging. This doesn't happen very often. Next time we're in York, we will revisit!

I have recently been in and it hasn?t changed hugely over the period of time I have been shopping there interior or exterior wise. The logo outside of the shop looks really new loads better more modern but I did also quite like the old logo too it?s looking much smarter there these days and there is 2 new cafes there too now and the clothing range looks great.\\n\\nCertain food ranges are the same as for the food packaging they have made for the food items it certainly looks smarter logo and colour wise but whether they?ve made packaging accessible for those who find it less easy to open than say someone who?s elderly or disabled in some way I couldn?t comment on that.

Very well managed and plenty of stock. Lots of choice especially in the bakery. Undercover seating area situated outside the main entrance free for all to use.

GF Food hall have great selections of fresh produce, ready meals and drinks with good varieties for groceries as well! Fashions and others are spread for few floors. Cafe on top floors is closed due to pandemic. One way flow from entrance and exit thru another door with a ramp! Some staff are friendly and ready with a smile.

Low stock and veggie range all over the place. Staff didn't seem to know where things were either. Better at Monks Cross!

A great lunch in the cafe. One of the best ploughmans lunches I have ever had! Great value.

Great staff & service. Long queue for toilets as the signage for public loos in city centre are inadequate in my opinion! No fault of M&S of course!

I use their foreign exchange department. It is right at the top and tucked away, as are their loos, all the way up n back on those eternal escalators, but they give good rate n don't charge commission. The ploy of getting you to pass by all their merchandise doesn't wash with me, as all my Per Una I buy from charity shops. ð???

The huge food hall is amazing, the clothing is mind blowing so much choice, maybe too much I couldn't make up my mind so I ended up not buying anything! There used to be a separate homewhere shop with furniture and accessories but I'm not sure if that is still there, it used to be my first stop as it was by the bus stop after my journey from Hull, it had a cafe upstairs it was a great start to a day shopping in York!

I love Marks & Spencer, it's so clean and the food is so fresh. The staff are very friendly and helpful in finding what you want. The prices are very competitive and good value. As I said, a lovely place to shop.

I am very annoyed, over the weekend I went into Mark's and Spencer in York and while I was there I needed to use the toilet as I approached the toilets I was met with the most awful smell it was quite overwhelming..... but I had to press on as I really needed to use the bathroom... the smell got stronger as I opened the door to the gents by this point it was eye watering the chap next to me was gagging and we both remarked to each other how awful it was.... as I entered the bathroom "now I don't want to be to graphic " but No2 was on every surface the walls the toilet roll holders the whole place.... I was afraid of touching anything. As I was desperate for a wee I managed to be extremely careful and avoid all contact.... and luckily I had some antibacterial hand wash in my pocket.... I have been all over the world with the army and in civilian life but this is by the worst toilets I have ever seen.... my skin is still crawling and I feel contaminated... please please avoid at all costs.... ps I thought that they checked the toilets on a regular basis but apparently not at this store...
