“My husband and I met the Lewis Foundation when he was in hospital, they came round the ward and offered him a free gift which we were really taken back by. Not only that they stayed and talked to us at what was a particularly difficult time. They didn't ask for anything from us, we ended up seeing them a couple of further times when we were back in hospital. They are such lovely selfless people, we were so touched and inspired by their work that now I regularly help to pack gifts for other patients as I have seen from the other side the impact that it has. We attend a lot of their fundraising events and spread the word of the amazing charity. It's such a simple idea that has now spread to many hospitals and can help bring a smile to people going through the worst of times”
“I went here yesterday and just sobbed for 2hrs. I don't know how much it helped me but it was better to not be on my own. The staff I encountered were nice. Thanks for tolerating me for as long as you did.”
