We used this store on a daily basis until, on one occasion, the shop assistant/manager came up to us and had a right go, in the shop in front of other customers.Apparently, she was not happy about our last visit when we tried to make a Costa coffee, but the machine was out of an ingredient, so the coffee was yuk.So being up against the clock for an appointment and knowing how long they take to fill up the machine we left.I do not feel the way we got treated warranted the treatment we received, bearing in mind how much we spent there on a DAILY basis. Think the Co-op could improve there staff training.

Parking can be difficult here if your car is wide.

Great parking and with the added bonus of a post office inside

Rude, miserable staff that close well before closing times.

Convenient store with parking. Well stocked, clean and tidy.Only thing letting it down is the staff. They clearly don?t like working there. No basic courtesy.Normally 2/3 staff members smoking to the rear of the premise. When using the post office one staff member was opening internal Post Office mail and referred to it as ?crap?.Post Office is a vital community service and as such should be seen as a benefit to the store.Additionally the opening hours ?vary? depending on staff it seems.Seems to be a breakaway co-op and not part of a national chain.

Good local store, car park is a little tricky to get into with all the on street parking around it but for able drivers its not to bad. Wide selection of eveything you would expect from a co-op. Only thing letting the store down is the staff, they were all a bit mundane and clearly didnt want to be there. We asked where something was and pretty much got a dont know, and then spent 5 mins waiting for a security tag to be removed because the guy watching self service couldnt be bothered to help us.

Constantly cheating with the prices. Deals are never to be taken seriously as you probably will pay the full price at the checkout if not more. Just paid £4.50 for an item listed for £2.50. Not sure if it's done intentionally, by negligence or both. Avoid if possible.

Shopping was good and I found everything I needed.Unfortunately this was spoilt by a miserable woman on pay desk. No good morning or even Hello and when she did speak she treated me very rudely. She sent the next customers goods down before I had removed my bags and called out the price before I had finished packing. An elderly gentleman came after me and it was the same for him- no hello etc.We are still at the stage with COVID that food shopping may be the only trip out that some people make and a little pleasantness and politeness is what we have come to expect from our supermarkets.

The coop shuts at 4pm on a Sunday which is odd because all the other coops in the smaller villages around here don't cut their Sunday hours. But I guess it's up to them to set their hours.I went down today to pick up a bottle of milk, I got their at 15:42 almost 20 minutes before they shut, to find the shutters over the door. I went to go in the exit which was open to be shouted from half way across the store by a member of staff that I couldn't come in because they are closing. This isn't the first time I have had issues since the current manager took over. On more than one occasion when visiting the store after 9pm I have found no member of staff on the floor and literally had to google a number for them to get served. The post office hours are constantly being changed and reduced due to "staff holiday" and "shortages". This is despite knowing a current member of staff who is literally looking for another job because they can't give them enough hours, and despite according to there website not having any job vacancy's to cover the "shortages". While I am grateful that there is a post office it has got to the point where I have started going to the Londis in West Haddon because at least they are open.On the rare occasions it is open I have more than once been queued to pay for my groceries for upwards of 5 minutes only to be told that the only till with a member of staff on is post office only. Where I am meant to queue to pay for goods has yet to be explained to me.On that note there are often 5 plus members of staff on but very rarely more than one till open and often not even that. While I appreciate that shelves aren't going to stack themselves and having staff sat on tills with few customers isn't the best use of there time. When you are waiting in a long queue to be served they should be quicker to stop standing around chatting and to open another till.My fingers are crossed that the new people in the Costcutter stop stocking pointless coop products and go back to using other suppliers so I can stop giving this woefully managed store any of my money. That said the while I have often found the older members of staff and especially the store manager particularly rude. The current crop of younger staff members have always seemed polite and helpful. Which must be challenging in what appears from the outside as an extremely mismanaged and toxic work enviroment.

Long buckby. Fantastic staff and very helpful manager. They do so much behind the scenes to help the vulnerable. Great little shop.
