Paid full price for a large Mocha to be told I'd have to have it a takeaway cup as they didn't have any clean cups to serve it in. Not even offered a refund for the price difference. Okay it was a free coffee, but to me that's not the point.

I have no idea what?s going on here. I?ve come back to Costa for a drink after Christmas and they still have no cups in Northampton. I know they had piping issues but this has been months now. Why can?t they sort it out

I went to Costa Coffee in Weston Favell shopping centre with the intention to order a couple of drinks on a Saturday afternoon. I was told by the barista that they had no more cream. Fair enough, it happens, and I joked that the cream is what makes the drink. A customer behind me laughed. The barista started putting on an attitude saying "I only work here" etc etc. Two things are evident: one, the barista needs to lighten up and find a sense of humour. And two, he needs training on how to speak to customers. Needless to say, I walked out without purchasing anything.

First of all, this adverse review in not directed at the staff on duty when we visited, who were doing a sterling job, under pressure and under-staffed. We have been visitors here for many years - a regular feature of our Thursday mornings with a succession of pre-school age grandchildren. Over the last few months, there has been an increasing ?presence? of delivery service orders which reached an unacceptable peak at our last visit. With only two staff members instead of the normal three, the team was already under pressure but if all they had to do was to serve the face to face customers, all would no doubt have been fine. However, they were hit with a raft of remote orders and apparently had to give them priority over the physically present customers. When the delivery service person arrived to find the orders not complete, he appeared far from happy & the unfortunate member of staff had to spend even more time attempting to placate him. Costa, if you?re going to participate in the delivery order system, either up your resources or set up some other unit far away from your physical customers! If this unacceptable trend continues, I think that we will become even more frequent visitors to the artisan coffee shop which is closed to home; particularly as their coffee tastes better too.

Lovely coffee and friendly barista serving us, but the poor girl was down here alone with a queue out the door throughout our visit. Is it too much to ask to spare one of the extras upstairs, wandering around aimlessly, to help out this cosier version of your Shopping Centre store?\\n\\nAs an aside, whoever opened up the store this morning obviously forgot to turn on the music, so we were sat in silence.

Very poor coffee today - really awful. Bitter and sour taste to it - Not the usual standard at all. Waste of money - actually took it back for a refund.
