Cafe freezing cold

Our complaint is in the cafe, yesterday, there was only one person working, behind the counter, so the queue was long, so it took ages to get our coffee?s, then we decided to have soup, again queue was long, then it took ages to arrive and when it did, it was Luke warm, so we had to return it, to be heated. My I make a suggestion you have a system like the one near the Queen Eleanor, they have a queue for just coffees and the other queue is for having something to eat and works very well.Just another thing, it?s far too cold in your premises and has been for quite a long time now, I feel sorry for your staff to work in these conditions, please get it fixed.

Since Christmas it's gone very much downhill. My son had a small breakfast which was cold. The sausage looked disgusting. Not planning on coming back here till they turn the whole place around.

The Garden Centre was empty of stock and the fish section was empty and closed. My children loved seeing the fish and we got supplies for out own tank from here. Not sure how the store is surviving, it can't be making any money there is nothing to buy other than hyper inflated waitrose food and cotton traders clothes. Cafe was OK, scone was nice but asking for cream was poor, it should just be given. Also kitchen staff scratching their heads and arms whilst serving seems very unhygienic, not sure an inspector would approve.. lots of standing around talking too whilst there was a line of customers! Finally, in the cafe seating area a disciplinary/absence review was taking place for a member of staff, their manager and HR rep ( I assume) were very loud and you could hear the conversation and issues being discussed. Very unprofessional, should be in an office or via teams etc. This is a review for Dobbies Northampton (Harlestone)

I went for a coffee and the play area for my grandson. It was very disappointing due to poor behaviour by unaccompanied children. No idea where the adults who should have been watching over them were, they didn't make an appearance once even though their bandless (payment acknowledgement) delinquent wards were causing mayhem.

The place is drab and very expensive. Shopping here is nothing like it used to be.

Good layout. Some things were pricey but expected from a garden centre.

well-equipped shop in a quiet location, close to the park, you can take coffee from the restaurant to the shop and go for a walk to the park, which is located on the other side of the street. The store is expensive, I like to go there to see what's new in the season, a small soft play for children and a restaurant are a break from the center

Do the staff ever sweep or clean this restaurant? Furniture is always covered in crumbs and stains, staff are slow clearing tables, the floor doesn't look as though it has been swept in weeks! Service is slow . Would be interesting to know what their hygiene rating is - if the customers area is dirty, what does the kitchen look like!!

First time visiting the cafe here for years. When it was Wyevale it seemed welcoming with a good selection of food and drinks. Now a very clinical feel with extremely overpriced food and cakes.

Café was quite expensive with 2 pieces of toast and butter £2.69, extra 79p for jam/marmalade. A mini breakfast came with half piece of bacon. I was not impressed so doubt we would visit again. We would probably just park up and go to the forest walk.

Looking at the other reviews. It doesn't surprise me. Harlestone Dobbies restaurant has gone downhill. Staff issues, training, poor management whatever the reason....remember customer service is paramount . It's not cheap to eat in the cafe ..... standards regarding food and communication is at the forefront .I had cake recently and it was child sized, dry and unappealing. I mentioned it to staff while waiting for tea.Borh shrugged their shoulders and walked of to.do ther jobs ....need I say more .
