I was looking on line for a new battery for my 2018 Vw Touareg. Found the battery I wanted, price was good, had the option of paying for fitting at the local branch which I opted for. Everything was paid for and my appointment confirmed. When I turned up at the branch and collected my battery the chap who was due to fit it asked me to open the bonnet. I pointed out the battery was under the front seat. Next I was informed that they were unable to fit the battery given its location. Clearly I was somewhat frustrated to say the least given it was all ordered and paid for and I had travelled to the branch. Why was I able to book fitting if in fact Halfords were unable to fit it and knew they couldn?t ?? It was suggested I could phone the Halfords service centre and see if they would fit it - I don?t think I will bother tbh.Very disappointed with Halfords - not the guys at the branch as if they are not allowed to fit to these cars , then ok, but why does the website allow you to pay for a service they are unable to provide. What a waste of time and money.

BEWARE Halfords are trying to sell off standard Disklok as Gold Disklok. Check you know how to tell the difference and don't be afraid to open the shrink wrap in store to check you are getting the Gold version.

Ordered a 2.9m telescopic ladder for collection at Weedon Road store. Was given a 2.6m one so went back to the checkout to sort it out. None held in stock so the advisor ordered another. I was a little worried as I received an email to say I had collected the item but nothing to say that a replacement was in fact being ordered in for me. A few days pass and I use live chat to see if it's in progress, during which I'm assured that the ladder will arrive on Weds (6 days after our original collection date). By the following Saturday we had received no update so contacted customer support via the 'local' number but it's answered by a central call centre (there seems to be no way to contact the store directly). 'Yolanda' assures me that she has spoken to someone in store and the ladder is ready to collect. We go to store shortly after and spend ONE WHOLE HOUR for 'Josh' to look for the ladder (initially 15 mins to look in the stock room, then return to tell us that his manager mag know whereabouts of the ladder but is on a stag weekend as he's getting married ????? then he goes off again to ask everyone working if they took the call, after 45 mins in store he says he could call the company who deliver the ladders and it takes him 15 mins to come back and say that the company are closed on weekends). Josh even asks me for proof that I called customer services(!) All interactions with Josh were with a smirk on his face.So, the way we've left it, I have absolutely no faith in Halfords sorting this. I won't be ordering again or buying in store. Apparently I have to wait until Monday for the store manager or deputy manager to contact me.

Very friendly and helpful staff, ample parking and I was only collecting an online order for a motorcycle lift but the member of staff brought it to my car and helped me lift it in.
