Just had a single bed delivered which was ordered from Mattressman. Beware the delivery people are not Mattressman employees! Rude and inefficient. I paid extra to have my old base taken away. They refused to take it because it was attached to headboard. So what? Seems in the terms and conditions it says you have to detach this yourself . I have paid £30 for a service which hasn?t happened and Mattressman refuses to refund my money. They have offered me 2 free pillows. I am not in need of any pillows so have refused. Plus on the invoice it states, recycle boxes. 2 large boxes containing the bed are now leaned up against my wardrobe, the bed hasn?t been removed from the boxes, I can?t move them on my own, nor can I remove the base. Result total chaos. Never ever will I use this company again and will certainly not be recommending them to others.

Without a doubt the worse experience of my lifeOrdered a bed via mattress man and the courier did not want to carry the mattress up the stairs they said their arms hurt and are too weakDidn?t even get it off the back of the vanThey asked me if I wanted to lift it up the stairsThen refused to take back the bed frame they managed to carry after lots of complaints as they didn?t want to do extra work but wanted me to keep a frame with no mattressHonestly awful customer service did not careAnd never called me back !Now without a bed to sleep on ? Excellent knowledgesble service. Very good prices and Black Friday discounts. Hope the delivery goes as well as the last one I ordered a couple of months ago. Useful 60 day exchange programme if we don't get on with new mattress.10 year guarantee on mattress.

Would avoid using this company, myself and my husband brought a bed frame and mattress and within a space of a year the mattress has gone into a v shape (It does not matter how often you turn the mattress over). Myself and my husband are not over weight either.My brother within the first month of purchasing our mattress brought the same one and has got the same issues. Highly avoid, specially as now both myself and my sister in law are suffering with back and hip pains. Not only this but during my pregnancy I struggled to move in our bed, let alone try and have a good nights rest.Such a shame that we now have to purchase a new mattress with it only being a few years old now and believe a mattress should last you a lot longer than a year/two.

Quite simply the worst company I have ever dealt with. I bought the Birlea Rio double bed - it was meant to be NDD but took a week to arrive. I understand that delays happen and was fine with this. However, when building the bed, the half moon nut was too small for the screw, and rotated in the wood and split it. It was faulty, so I emailed with a photo and asked for Mattressman to arrange a return. The customer service person then said that it is the manufacturer that deals with it - this is not in line with the consumer rights act; however, I accepted it and waited for a reply. I then get a reply from Eleanor Crowe stating that the manufacturer says it was my fault, and that they wouldn't arrange a return, and that the return request was closed. I instantly replied with the photo again, and a copy of the relevant page of the instruction manual which clearly showed that the nut was the right way round, but had rotated in the wood and split it because it was faulty and of poor quality. No reply. I then phoned a day later and was told to wait for a call back...still nothing. I have been sold a faulty bed and Mattressman have done absolutely NOTHING to help other than dismiss it as my fault without even seeing it in person or engaging in further conversation. I have now had to go through legal action and have contacted BBC Watchdog who have logged my complaint. This is totally unacceptable and I cannot believe that they are refusing to even arrange a return so that it can be looked at. My legal advisor has assured me that Mattressman's approach is not in accordance with the consumer rights act 2015, but the fact I'm having to do this to get a refund is an absolute joke. Avoid this company at all costs!

My experience in store was good but that is where the positives end. I ordered a small double divan base. Was called to say it's ready and scheduled a delivery date. Waited at home all day and at 430 called the helpline only to be told my mattress wasn't on the delivery van - nobody had called me! I told them that I would be at work the next day and asked for a call to reschedule. This didn't happen and bed was delivered the next morning to my poorly 13 year old. He was asked to sign and the guy basically pushed the bed into my hallway and left. I have received a 30 refund but am still waiting, over a week, to hear the report from the courier as to why they felt it ok to deliver to a minor!

Aiden in Mattressman Northampton is without doubt an excellent ambassador for the company. An extremely knowledgeable and personable individual. Nothing was too much trouble and the end result of an extremely comfortable bed and base, the icing on the cake. Thanks again for all of your help, much appreciated.

Ordered a custom size mattress back in September, was sent a broken mattress in the wrong size, fair enough mistakes happen, replacement ordered, wrong size received againNew mattress ordered on 26th October, it's now 8th February and I'm still waiting.I've been recieving weekly emails saying it's due in for delivery very soon since the beginning of December, but nothing ever comes of it.

Stay away from this retailer! I've ordered bed, mattress and mattress protector and I've paid extra for my old bed and mattress removing. All went smoothly until the delivery day. Two man in the van patheticly brought the mattress protector only! It was too late to speak to the customer service, so we slept on the floor. Early morning next day I tried to call their cs but they said someone would call me. I was waiting till 3p.m. to get an answer that they would deliver the mattress next day (2 days after planned delivery day) but the bed is out of stock and would be ready .... in 3 months time!!! What the mess! i lost two working days, waiting pointlessly for the furniture I paid for and at the end of the day I was told that if I want the refund, I will have to bring this unfortunate mattress protector back to their shop.
