Nisa Today's was founded in 1977 and is a collective group of retailers (such as the Co-Op and Costcutter) who focus on buying smaller independent retail stores. The purpose of this is to bring smaller grocery stores a much larger representation and make them a part of a bigger group. When a grocery store is purchased by Nisa Today's, their distribution needs are taken care of for them - making running a business easier. There are currently over 2,500 small convenience and grocery stores that are represented by Nisa Todays and there are several distribution centres - some of which are meant specifically for frozen goods - across the UK.
