Andrew at scs has been great we had a bit of a issue with our bed chairs that we wanted but he sorted it and we got to other ones that where a higher price but he kindly matched the price and arranged for one to come from another store

Today, 21Oct 2023, was our 3rd & 4th time going into this store. We have been looking for a 3 seater sofa bed & a single chair. We've done alot of homework by going to their "posh" store & check online. So we know exactly what we wanted. We kept going back to this clearance store in a hope that we find a bargain. When we went in for the 3rd times today, we found the Living Brixham Snuggle Chair Bed, £300 cheaper than buying online. But they didn't have the 3 seater that we wanted. So we went away & had another discussion. After our late lunch , we went back to the store & asked if they could order for us the sofa bed that we wanted along with the Snuggle Chair that they have in the store. They were more than happy to do so for us. The Manager, Chris, was ever so helpful & very knowledgeable of their products. We left extremely happy with our purchase & our savings. The service was top. Over 20 years ago, when we 1st move to Northampton, we bought our 1st sofa from SCS & it's lasted us some really good years. At the moment, we have a sofa that was given to us by a friend & I've hated it for all those 5 years that we've had it. But I'm absolutely sure that these new addition to my home will make me very happy & the fact that we have extra beds for family & friends when they come to stay, is a bonus. So, the phrase 3rd timeis the lucky charm doesn't work for us. We only work on even numbers. It's 4th time lucky as we finally bought what we really wanted with the help of this store on our 4th visit.

We went to Riverside today. Saw a 3 seater sofa for 499 and was told it was 599 for fibre ! Then I was told it was 99 delivery charge and she did not even know my address ! No thanks ! Just sorted at The furniture centre with excellent staff and high quality furniture at no extra add on costs and no small print. I have sent reviews about SCS to Trading standards and Which.

The furniture was ok but the staff were too much. Farrah followed us around and despite telling her several times we were just looking she continued to follow us and butt into my conversation with my partner and was really annoying so much so we had to leave.And now we got a sofa coming from DFS

My initial review was excellent service in store when buying a new sofa. I never received my sofa due to the property I was buying falling through at the last minute, which meant I had no where to store it. I placed the order at the beginning of Feb, was quoted 11 weeks. Was told its not due for another 2 months. Tried to cancel over 3 weeks ago after several phone calls finally cancelled. I was told I would be receiving my refund last week did not happen, had to call again. ScS kept £650 of the sale as it's in their policy. This included a quarter of everything on the final bill. Greedy company. I wish I had read the reviews first. I wouldn't even give them 1 star.

Very happy with our new super soft carpet! Terry (in the showroom) was great and very knowledgeable. Fitting was perfect by Lee and his colleague. Couldn't be happier ?

Took nearly £3000 fron us with a smile on their face and now there's problems with the sofa that's less than a year old and has stopped working they don't want to do anything meaningful about it. Engineer came out and said a new part was needed which he ordered in front of me and then the wrong part sent which takes 2 to 4 weeks to arrive in the post before they expect the customer to ring them for them to send an engineer out again to repair it, we rang them to say organise the right part being sent and we were expected to tell them what it is ? over the phone? Not good enough in this day and age of the technology available. Any parts needed should be sent to the engineer and they should be arranging for it them to arrive and be fixed rather than expecting their customers to do it for them.COWBOYS. Avoid like the plague. If I could give minus stars I would.

I went into ScS with the intention of purchasing a new bedroom carpet. Having found the carpet we wanted I asked to get a quote and was told I?d have to wait. Another member of staff came to give me a quote a short while later and I was surprised the price was so much more than the cost of the carpet itself given fitting was free so I asked if that was the best price they could give me. The ?carpet expert? was the called over, who had previously told me I have to wait to get a quote, and he gave me a price 100 pounds more than the initial price I was given. Apparently this was because I didn?t qualify for free fitting, as I wasn?t purchasing 14sqm of carpet. Whilst he was telling me this the tv screen behind him said ?free fitting on all carpets?. At this point I wasn?t sure I was willing to pay this much so I asked if that is definitely their best price so I knew what to compare to when I get other quotes, and I was then given a new different price which was somewhere between the previous 2. I don?t know if they were just making the numbers up or the pricing structure is deliberately complicated to confuse people but I left the shop honestly not knowing what I would pay if I chose to purchase the carpet with them having been given 3 different prices. There was also some more money which had to be paid in cash and I have no idea if any of those prices included that either. I felt it was all a smoke and mirrors trick. Given I walked in with the intention of purchasing a carpet we had already seen I really don?t see why it was so hard.

We paid upfront for two sofas on 10 September 2022. Three months later, it's the 10 December and there is still no sign of them being delivered to us anytime soon. They are well over a month late. Delivery has been delayed on 4 separate occasions. No one at ScS is able to tell me where they are or when they will be delivered. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but it's my last resort at actually trying to get a response out of them following numerous emails and phone calls from me.I understand delays can happen, but customer support is shockingly bad at dealing with them. I've been promised a call back on 3 separate occasions over the past weeks, including today. No one has ever called me back. No one is responding to my emails. No one offers any solution or even tries, the response is always 'we can't contact the vendors who have your sofas so we have no information to give you' As far as I am concerned, I purchased from ScS, who according to the spiel make everything, so that is not really an acceptable excuse and I don't understand the point of a customer support team who don't know anything so can't provide support nor do anything toactually help customers.It's impossible to escalate anything, when I asked for a copy of their complaints procedure I was told it wàs a generic customer email address.I'm left hundreds of pounds out of pocket due to ScS. I've had to pay to move my old sofa to my new house due to their delays. I've now lost a sale of my old sofa too because of yet more delays. ScS refused to cover these costs, or offer any alternative or help.I'm so disappointed that I fell for the sales spiel in store. We were assured 2 months was plenty of notice for delivery to coincide for our house move (we moved over 3 weeks ago). ScS Northampton are happy to take your money, but seemingly unable to deliver the goods you've paid for within the agreed timescales, unwilling to offer any alternative or solution and never contact you when they say they will. Avoid.

I'd rate zero if I could for the carpet sale and after care from store.We got told that "the customer is not always right" when we questioned being charged by the sub contracted carpet fitter for something we were told was free. The store argued and we rude to us when we contacted them about our concern at having to find almost £400 in a matter of hours.We were charged for grippers and told to remove ours to be told by the fitter they didn't need to be removed in the first place.There was no explanation at purchase about fitting being charged on the day and that we have to get rid of all rubbish after fitting.The sales person said that he would go back in and remove our carpet even though we paid for it in full. We also checked with him that everything was paid for in full including fitting to be told it was.We had to remove and dispose of our old carpets.Neither the sales person or manager wanted to help us or listen to our concern.We will never use SCS again. We are waiting to gear back from customer services to make a full complaint.It's such a shame because we had a sofa from them at the same time and the sales woman was amazing and I couldn't fault her. There was care taken when our sofa was delivered.

Really lovely non pushy staff. They listen to what you want and help. Amy was wonderful sales lady. Found an excellent bargain on a sisl Italian leather with a power recliner. Looked at many other sofa shops, SCS could not be matched Very happy customers. Would will use them again.

If I could choose zero star I will do.Bad experience, they are not professional people comparing other furniture shops .They replaced the item that paid for day before,and didn't know until coming to collect, when I asked them to correct their mistake,they gave bad reactions to each other about me .So easily I cancelled the order and will not come to buy anything from them.
