Had a problem while driving home earlier today, called in and came across John Barr cars and went in to ask for help. Was helped by Stephen and Daniel who were so nice and couldn?t do more to help, got the small issue sorted and was able to drive home with no problems. First time buying from John Barr, looked up reviews on sales and after service care which I find super important, and friends have bought from them so put me at peace, from the start Daniel was very straight forwards no hard sell very fair on trade price for my car showed me on the pc what it was, car sitting gleaming for me on collection today paper work done super fast, defo be back in future for continuing trades, so happy with car , photo does not do justice, thanks from Paul.

This is my first experience buying a car from a dealer. John Barr and his friendly, knowledgeable team really put me at ease and guided me through the process. I'm delighted with my quality used car.Having previously driven the same second hand car for 14 years, I was reluctant and nervous to change vehicle - but it really was overdue.John and his team didn't just push a stock car onto me; they listened to my specifications and found me a car that matched my needs.Upon exploring an example of the chosen vehicle, John took on board my insecurities and never once made me feel foolish. He encouraged me to test drive both an example of the car I'd picked and also an automatic car (as I was switching from manual to automatic, also a new concept for me). I left feeling confident in my choice and was excited to see the car when it arrived.John and his team took special care to ensure the used car he selected for me was in tip-top condition. He had it valeted and even repaired a small dent in the body, which he pointed out to me. Upon collection, he took me through some of the features of the integrated head unit on the dash - as this was something I didn't previously have. I'm now not so intimidated by all the extra buttons!Honestly, if you're looking for a used car and want frank guidance, top quality stock to explore, friendly service and reassurance that you're putting your money in a good place - you need to get down to John Barrs.

First time that I've ordered a vehicle from across the water but if you have any reservations, buy your next one from John Barr Cars and you can sleep easily ! Despite some delay on my part in resolving the financing, the staff were very patient and reassuring, with my special thanks to Steven. The Dacia arrived at the docks in perfect condition, exactly as described and proved a joy to drive. Thanks to all.P.S. Just watch out for those barriers at Birkenhead !

As with the other reviews for John Barr Cars my whole experience with the team here has been superb and quite unlike experiences I?ve had elsewhere. The car was fairly priced and the few jobs that the car required were done without fuss. Personable, professional and relaxed sums up my opinion of buying a car here and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. I?m delighted with the car and of particular note was the incredible condition they handed the car over to me in, it was like picking up a brand new car. Thanks Daniel

Had the pleasure of dealing with Steven for the sale of our new driving school car. This gentleman saw the sale through from start to finish and nothing was an inconvenience to him as he stayed on passed the normal opening hours to accommodate us and our work hours. We also want to mention his colleague Daniel as this gentleman had finished his work on a cold, dark, wet and windy night and stopped on his tracks to give us a hand loading it onto a trailer and securing it. I took a company vehicle to John Barr Cars for a service. From the word go I was treated like I was their most valuable customer. The staff there went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to work and I was kept in the loop with how the vehicle was doing.I haven't experienced this level of customer service outside of a 5 star hotel. To me, buying a used car requires 2 reviews: one at the time of purchase, the other a year later. This review deals with my recent purchase of a 3-year old Toyota Corolla hybrid with the assistance of Stevie.At this early stage, I am delighted with Stevie's professionalism, how he answered questions, his patience and, most impressively, how he listened to my needs, to my evolving understanding of what type of car would suit me best.We road tested a few but none really clicked. "Don't worry - we will get a car that suits you" Stevie advised. And he did. A car I would never have considered, one that I had quickly discounted on the website. "Give it a try - it meets all your needs" was his bold statement. "You have nothing to lose." It was excellent and I am now the proud owner of my first hybrid, a stepping stone to full electric a few years from now. Thanks Stevie. I would have given you 5/5 had you offered me a cuppa on my first visit ! See you in a few years - milk, no sugar please.

Recently bought a new vehicle from John Barr Cars Ltd and they were extremely helpful throughout the process. Steven Ball was fantastic in making the switch to the new vehicle as seamless as possible. The vehicle itself was in great condition, like new, even though it is a used car. I would highly recommend them to other people if they are considering purchasing a vehicle from the dealership.
