Saw review below ref problems withdrawing your money from your account. I had same problems even though I had a good reason for the withdrawal. Manager completely useless. I ended up taking my case to ombudsman and won and danske branch Armagh had to pay me compensation.

Unfit for purpose. Recently informed of the how a new business that joined this branch was failed from here and with the powers above. Bank will go to no length to hide their failings. My advice would be to go elsewhere, branch manager doesn?t support his customers. Will be moving elsewhere.

Really bad customer service!I was in the bank to lodge cash into my account ,cashier took my money and bank card ,after looking at the screen she left with my money and bank card,behind the wall and started to whisper with the colleague for a good while. She came back and asked where this money came from(which wasn?t big amount),after I explained that it?s from work and I want to put into my account. She took few minutes to check my card again and my account on the computer and I could see something is wrong and the attitude I was given wasn?t right for any customer! So I asked if I can talk to the manager and her colleague said to the cashier I was dealing with,just lodge the money,she lodged money and told me that she?ll bring the manager. Someone came ,I explained what happened and that I don?t feel comfortable with how things were handled and what can I do about this ,to which I was told that I can look for other bank to open an account! I had to ask again if she was a manager and she said the manager is not available ,I asked if I can book an appointment with the manager cause I wanted to solve this and open a business account too and I was told manager is not available and I can go open account in other bank.Worse experience and discrimination ever! I did go and opened bank account in other bank and very happy with service and staff but this bank needs to retrain their staff how to handle situations and have good customer skills!

Recently heard about their treatment of a business in the Armagh area. Truly horrendous, unbelievable behaviour and lack of leadership from branch to HQ! If you are a startup business go to a bank that will appreciate you. R

Great bank but staff should be more informative about why they need so much info just to withdraw money they just demand information for a 2500 withdrawal which i had pre ordered following there rules.if i want to spend 2500 on sweets and cola its none of your business where it goes .. I actually withdrawed 2500 before an i wasn't asked for id from the heavy brown haired lady cashier I thought it was protocol to ask for ID she said she knew me when i questioned it the next day...well I'm sorry you DONT know me or anything about me... I had to go to santander bank and they were more than informative about why they need information now i understand but danske make you feel like a criminal... danske bank staff make you feel almost guilty about requesting your own hard earned money out.I might actually report that lady in the bank for her attitude and lack of following protocol on asking for identication when I withdrawed 2500 and she was very cheeky about the whole situation i have my dates logged.. its only the second time I've went to withdraw from the bank recently now after i was annoyed and uninformed by them i told them id be closing the account.. she was more than happy for me to close my account in my opinion she should be sacked ill be changing banks because of this situation I've been with northern bank this 20years .... don't make your customers feel guilty about withdrawing THERE OWN MONEY
