The City in Armagh is well worth a visit It offers excellent value, great rooms and food and really pleasant staff. We had the Friday Supper club stay which was brilliant . Three course meal bottle of wine and two drinks included.

Just spent the past four nights at this wonderful Hotel. There were forty of us on a Coach trip from England. We were all accommodated half board, bed, breakfast and evening meal. The Bedrooms were superb with Super King Beds which were extremely comfortable and the rooms were spotless and very well equipped. Quality towels and bathroom essentials were supplied and the rooms serviced daily to a high standard. The cold and hot buffet breakfast was first class and the service with tea and coffee and eggs of choice cooked to order was prompt and efficient. All the food was cooked to a high standard and very delicious. The evening meals consisted of three courses with a choice of several dishes for each course. We all thoroughly enjoyed both the choice and quality of the food which was first class. Every member of staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A request for a Fan to cool the room was suppled within a minute of me speaking to reception. I would certainly recommend this Hotel to anyone and I would certainly stay there again next time I visit Northern Ireland.

The room was a great room and second to none for cleanliness'. The beds were massive and so comfortable. We didn't eat there after the day we arrived as the portion size for the meals were very poor for the price .The most off putting thing was the rancid fat that tasted so bad. Seems that everything was cooked in it and was horrible. The potato bread for breakfast on 1st day tasted of rancid fat and we didn't bother with hash browns or potato bread after 1st day although the rest of it was very tasty. The rooms had no air con and even though we had windows open the heat was quite unbearable. The hotel was lovely and clean and great views and wonderful city.

Awful hotel, rude staff who refused to allow us to switch rooms even though they weren't fully booked. Food wasn't nice and restaurant staff left me sitting there for over 30 minutes before taking my order but they went ahead and took someone else's order before mine after they had just walked in.

On approaching the hotel we thought the appearance was not inspiring, but that first impression couldn?t have been more wrong. The more you experience the better it gets. We stayed for a Friday night and the deal included the Supper Club promotion. We had a drink each ( g & t) before dinner, an excellent three course plus coffee meal including a bottle of house wine for £100 all in. The food was excellent, including ten ounce steaks cooked to order. The service was friendly and relaxed but attentive. Our room was first class - well up to four star standard - with a raindrop shower and a veranda. Breakfast was also generous and excellent. We will certainly be back.

We stayed on a Friday night and booked a double room. When we arrived the car park was busy but there was plenty of space available, the lobby was very busy with people having lunch from the cafe, however we were able to check in around 2.30. The room had a super king bed, a single bed and plenty of pillows, tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate with a kettle, an iron and ironing board. There was a large walk- in shower with a rain head, shampoo, shower gel, lotion, soap and a shower cap were provided. We used the leisure facilities and booked earlier in the day. We were provided a locker key and towels for the swimming pool and we wore caps. The changing rooms had baby high chairs and a play pen to allow the adult to get changed and they provided plastic bags to put our wet things in. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel but chose to explore the City and ate out. The room was above the lounge so we were able to listen to the music that started at 10pm. I brought earplugs so i don't know what time it finished. We went for an early breakfast which was included in our price. We were offered tea/coffee, apple/orange and another juice possibly cranberry. There was a cereal section, a fruit salad bowl, flavoured yoghurt pots, unpeeled fruit, Danish pastries and croissants. The fry was buffet style under hot lamps and included fried soda bread, fried potato bread, pork sausages, bacon, beans, cooked tomatoes, mushrooms, white and black pudding, scrambled egg and hash browns. There was white and brown bread sitting beside a toaster and the table had different jams/Nutella. You were able to order poached or fried eggs. We found the staff to be pleasant and enjoyed our stay.

Disgusting attitude from the staff. Infested with flies, avoid avoid avoid!! One minute we could book a table the next we couldn't, while the place was empty half the night. The rooms were covered in flies, 11 of us went there and spent a fortune over 2 nights. Then we were told on check out we had a 150 pound bill!!! Ur staff failed to collect our bill cos they stood chatting away all night. And we did pay btw so ask ur staff member who pocketed the 150. Also accused of stealing cups out of the room.....wise up. U can buy them in IKEA for 50p ffs. Restaurant and bar is covered with flies, all the rooms have been infested with flies. It's disgusting.

I wish to inform the manager of the Reception staff, that I had very good experiences on both Friday last and two further occasions today. On both times I was assisted by one of your staff members called Ashleigh. She was very patient, helpful and Knowledgeable in all aspects of the information I required.R S M

Awful experience will not be recommending to friends or family. As a wedding & events supplier I will not be recommending this hotel to clients or brides/grooms... I booked a room via booking.com as I was due to work at an event nearby, the plans changed and I no longer needed the room so I called to see if I could cancel. I stay in hotels all the time as part of my business and I realise that sometimes it's not possible to cancel a room reservation but if you speak to the manager there is always something that can be done such as changing your date etc. I spoke to reservations who said I could cancel and would not have to pay a cancellation fee. I asked them to double check that I would not have to pay for the room, they said "don't worry you won't be charged I have cancelled your room." She also said that booking.com will sometimes tell the customer they have to pay a cancellation fee but "don't worry we don't enforce this on our end." Of course, a few weeks later I notice a charge on my card for the full room rate at £140. I called up reservations and explained the situation for her to basically say we're charging you and there's nothing you can do. I tried to get my point across to her but she kept interrupting me and shouting down the phone "you will not be getting a refund!" I was promised a call back from a manager but instead I received a voicemail from a manager who lied and put the blame on booking.com saying that they had enforced the charge. This is untrue because booking.com called the hotel on my behalf twice and were told both times that the hotel would be rejecting my refund request and charging me for the cancellation. Had I have known that I was going to be charged to cancel I would have taken the room and stayed the night anyway but instead I am now £140 out of pocket for a room that I was told I could cancel free of charge.

Little gem of hotel in Armagh city. Central location. Rooms and all areas spotless. Beautiful bedding, we had a walk-in shower and beautiful bathroom. Lovely view as well, slept really well. Fantastic buffet breakfast, wide choice of high quality food. Will we be back? We certainly will and hope to book again for this month. A most enjoyable stay!!

We stayed overnight at this hotel. The staff were very pleasant and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and included lots of options for every type of picky eater. It's a great spot for using as a stop off when holidaying in Northern Ireland and Ireland. Have booked to stay in again!

I think this is now the only hotel in Armagh City. They are in the process of updating all the rooms and they are comfortable and modern. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Large, free car park. Didn't try other facilities but the restaurant was open on the Monday we visited and food was fine. Decent pint of Guinness. Breakfast very good.

Really wouldn?t recommend and most definitely will not be back. We arrived and went up to our room to find it unbearably hot. We had a 3 month old baby with us so we had our thermometer with us to check the room was ok for baby. The room was 26 when we arrived and kept increasing overtime. My husband went down to reception to ask for a fan and was at first told there were no fans. After asking again he was told they would look for one. He asked if there were any other available rooms for us to move to. Advised there was a room with a balcony but ?wasn?t the rate we had paid?. We understand this but the attitude and lack of consideration was not needed. We would have paid for this room but this wasn?t an option for some reason. We went back up to the room and a fan was given but this just blew warm air around the room so we decided to check out later that night and travel back home due to safety concerns with our baby as the room temperature had increased further. When checking out I was told we could have had room with balcony. I relayed the information we were told earlier in the day that apparently we couldn?t have this room due to the rate and was told very abruptly that we should have came down and asked again as they can?t sell the room after a certain time. How were we supposed to know this if not told? The whole service was shocking from start to finish and we most certainly will advise any family/friends to not visit this hotel unless they want terrible customer service.Rooms: No air con/fans available.Safety: Safety locks were broken on windows so an absolute hazard as windows open wide open with a bed right infront of them. All windows were like this in the hotel.

Booked it for the bank holiday weekend. Woke up Monday morning to construction works going on directly above my room. Went down to reception. Sent an email. Was eventually told I could take my time getting out and wouldn?t be charged a late fee ? Spoke to manager. Pointed to a barely noticeable sign behind reception and a ?there?s never a good time for these things?. Not offered anything to compensate for disruption. Total disgrace. Please stop charging full price for rooms while you carry out work to improve your hotel. I spent my money on your hotel as it currently is. I would never have booked this if I had been properly informed and I should have been compensated properly. Not just a shoulder shrug.

Clean tidy and well presented rooms with a modern feel. Breakfast was lovely! Pool facilities are gym are exceptional, steam room was out of order which was slightly annoying as was being unable to use pool due to swimming lessons! Will hopefully stay again though!
