More a toy store than a game store now. Focus on lego, stuffed animals, even barbie and straight up baby toys. Desperate grab to stay in business due to competition from online game retailers like steam. Depressing and over priced

So got a Game voucher from a friend for Xmas who forgot to put the gift value on it. So I picked up two PS5 games, Gotham Knights £34.99 and Alan Wake Remastered £9.99 thinking I'd pay with the voucher and pay the balance if required. So at the counter I handed over the games to be told that they had no copies of Alan Wake left (so why were there case covers on display?). I explained that I would pay with the Game voucher and cash as I had no idea how much was on it. So the voucher was swiped and I was told it covered the game and the card wasn't returned. Exactly, that was a bit of a coincidence. As it turned out there was £40 on the voucher so a £34.99 game cost my friend £40. But of a ripoff in my view and very glad I buy my games normally elsewhere.

GAME sells games >3yrs old above than what you would get on digital storefronts. Game trade-ins are almost non-existent because everyone goes to CEX or Gadget Exchange instead. Like the American equivalent, it only competes with digital storefronts with loyalty cards which I have no interest in. I only come here to buy Switch games or accessories.

Worst customer service ever. I was told that I could trade in my console to get the new released one with the trade in credit. But on the release date of the new console, the staff told me that Game has finished its allocation of the new console while I already traded in my old one.The manager (the chubby lady with tattoos) in store cannot be ruder, I asked her to help me in my case but all she did was arguing with me and saying that she cannot help while I could not see her even trying to help. The had the absolute worst attitude I have ever seen for someone who works in the customer service industry. I would expect her to at least have a bit of smile on her face as she is the manager and she should be an example to follow for the employees but I found that she was the rudest of all and not competent.At the end, I saw no way out of the conversation so I asked if they could drop me an email if the new console gets restock at a certain point but she even denied that. I would describe her as a machine or anything but not human as she feels no empathy at all and to add, all these were caused by miscommunication from their end.

Went to trade in a controller and was judged because of the way I look. Controller has a warranty so will be back and in stead of trading it in they can now just give me a new 1 when I go back down. After that will not be back. Bad costumer service

Very good store. There are good collections of games and merchandise. Also the hardware varies between gaming, mobile phones and computer hardware. The shop location is great and you can't miss it.
