I won't bother sugarcoating it - this Ladbroke's is dingy and dumpy. It's not that it's unclean or anything, it's just that it's old, and badly in need of a bit of renovation or redecorating. You also have to walk up a sort of an alleyway to get to it, press the buzzer to get in (security measure), and walk up the stairs. If you're walking up these old stairs, you have to hope that you make it to the top before any vegetable-deprived bodies come walking down the stairs, because there will not be room for the two of you to pass each other without having a disturbing and uncomfortable intimate moment. I can only presume that the fact that it's upstairs and above another business is what prevents any sort of work being done to this betting shop. Regardless of this, it has what you need: newspapers, TV screens, and employees to take your money from you and accommodate your need to lose money while harbouring a hopeless optimism that today will be your 'lucky day' (aren't bookies great?). There are nicer bookies nearby though (see my Paddy Power and Ladbroke's reviews).
