Don't keep clear envelopes for custom paperwork but are a drop off service. Crazy that they don't keep required materials for the services they provide.

I am a regular customer in Howard St Post Office and can say nothing but good things about the staff and level of service. For a city centre office the service from the staff is always friendly and attentive.Anytime there is a queue it moves along quickly and an apology for keeping me waiting is always offered. You don't get that everywhere. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

An excellent post office with even better staff. This post office would be by no means my local but its definitely one of the best, and I have been in quite a few as i would do a fair bit of posting. I never realised that the post office was separate from Royal mail and that the post office sells the postage services on behalf of royal mail. Now days there are lots of different postage company's and they seem to have alot of different options, it would be very easy to become confused, but not in this office because these experts always give you the top service to meet your needs and take the time to question and show an interest in the products I'm actually posting. And it dosnt stop just there, they have a range of other services from everyday banking, which seems to be becoming a problem with so little banks open, to being able to meet anyones Travel needs. And when I say that they are a one stop gap for everything Travel related I'm not exagerating. The manager Jim and another clerk Mark has sorted my family's Travel insurance, looked after my currency needs for my last two trips abroad and even got me sorted with a great pre paid Travel card. Honestly I could go on all day about the excellent customer service I receive everytime I visit this branch but it still wouldn't do justice to the staff whom may I add are always normally busy and its not hard to see why. Howard street post office is a must visit and I wish there where more places like this especially on the high street. Thanks again people

I share the opinion of the last reviewer who said this post office was dishonest.I was at there today at around 1:30pm to exchange old sterling notes for new ones. The guys behind the counter told me that he could not do what I asked but could give me Euros or USD for the old sterling notes. What he said told me two things: (1) the old notes are still considered legal tender as far as banks go (otherwise what he proposed to do would have been illegal), and (2) he is dishonest because ANY post office could do the swap up to a certain amount for a tourist (with proper ID) without a local bank account.I didn?t feel like arguing with him, so I walked to another post office and got what I needed. But I?d like make my fellow travelers aware of this kind of practice - in a location with lots of tourists, this office must have loads foreign notes on hand; so he?d try pushing the foreign currency on you, in exchange for your sterling, so his office could make the bid-ask spread (that is, the price difference between buying and selling foreign currencies).I have nothing against enterprising shop-owners or even government agents, but there should be some scruples. Now that I know I?m not the only tourist with this kind of experience, I?d never buy anything from this store - yes, this post office is at the back of a convenience store.

Dishonest!!!I arrive in Belfast on a tour and was told I could exchange 2 old £20 notes for new ones at the Post Office, I asked the guy at the counter at around 4.30pm yesterday and he said no but he could change them for Australian $.I said ok and he stumbled with the Australian $ and gave me $60, I was surprised and asked if that was the rate and said yes and asked the next customer to move forward.I later got back to the hotel and checked the Post Office exchange rate and it should have been $80.I guess the guy put the $20 in his pocket. If someone reads this and checks the cctv they will see for themselves.Very poor service from a Post Office!!The exchange rate was on the Post Office website.
