Got my Dr to send my prescription here as i live locally but they were continually closed. Tried several times each day for several days. also called the phone around 10 times /day but could get a response. Perhaps they are closed permanently?

Left prescription in, after about 8 minutes the pharmacist asks me do I pay for prescriptions(all prescriptions are free in Northern Ireland) Then she starts talking in pharmacy jargon, sorry don't understand what your talking about, then preceeded to tell me the person who signed my prescription isn't at my GP surgery anymore, so can't issue the prescription. Walk straight out to the pharmacy a hundred yards down the road who prescribe my medication no problem. Not only is the pharmacy incompetent, it's the most soulless, depressing pharmacy in, possibly in the world!

I've noticed some people here have given this place 1 star owing to it simply not having a card reader - whilst a minor PITA (yup, happened to me too) there is an ATM literally two seconds away so not really a big deal for me.Pleasant, convivial staff with knowledge about their products - will happily fill in the blanks about your meds/ answer any questions. What more do you need from your local pharmacy? vast majority of us nip in to get a prescription - ergo no money needed anyway. Support your local pharmacy folks or it's a long walk down the Ormeau Road in the rain :)

The owner of this pharmacy needs to stop digging their heels in and invest in a cashless/card-based way of paying. This must be the only chemist in the country that insists on payment in physical money - why they think they can operate like a Chinese takeaway when the service they offer involves medication is beyond me.

Called in today and the chemist was very friendly and helpful.
