Food wasn?t good at all starters were just ok no real Flavour mains had to wait over 30 mins then my goodness so so bad roast beef, so overdone the stuffed chicken like it had been sitting for awhile and then reheated the turkey and ham was cold really not a good experience so disappointed and very disappointed with the way they handled itHave to say don?t think I?ll be back

We were here for St Patrick's weekend. And managed to book a table for the Sunday!Meal cost £91.303 courses for 2 people and 3 soft drinks. The pil pil prawns to start were very good!Partner had the Asian pork belly bites and he said they were also good.I had the lamb shank which was superb! Partner had the beef roast and also said the same. The puddings were a bit of a let down but would highly recommend the starters and main!Service was good considering the busy weekend. There was a live band on and atmosphere at the front of the pub!

Best pub I've been to in the country. Super nice staff, very helpful manager/owner, amazing chowder, and awesome atmosphere.

The most overpriced restaurant I have ever been to. Looking £8 for a bread starter. The menu is dated and not worth any of it.

Called in for an early dinner. No complaints and food was lovely.

Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful food and great staff. Added bonus that dogs are allowed in the restaurant part of the bar. We had a family member become medically unwell and the staff were unbelievably kind and helpful in assisting us. They went above and beyond and they are a credit to your restaurant! We will definitely be back! Thank you.

We used to visit this place regularly and found it charming in every way. However recently it seems to have new management, or perhaps new staff.Visited a week ago and although the food was good, customer service was somewhat lacking - perhaps more training is necessary.

Had an amazing meal . Had hot wings and deep fried brie for starters. Had fish and chips which were beautifully cooked and presented. Staff friendly and attentive. The Hillside is such a lovely quaint place with wood burning stoves and fires. Food Fabulous!!! .

The service was awful at lunchtime today 5th Jan 2024. Only went there as The Plough was very busy. The Hillside was cold and took 20mins to get clean wine glasses and jug of water. Wished we had stayed in The Plough and wait 20mins for a table, at least we'd have been warm! Won't be back in Hillside ever.

We went to the Hillside on a Monday night. We couldn?t get over the buzz of the place. It?s dog friendly until 5pm, you can come in for lunch or dinner and they have a bar license so you can have drink without having to buy food. Not only was it a great atmosphere but the quiz which was done by Gerry is one of the funniest things. His humour really made our night. We were served by Paula (the manager) and her fabulous team Megan, Laura and Gerry. We simply can not wait to go back!

Would highly recommend The Hillside. My partner and I went for dinner and drinks and were very impressed. There's a lovely cosy pub in the front and great dining area in the back. We were looked after by a lovely staff member called Paula who was able to recommend great dishes and pair the dishes with great wine. The hillside has a lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back
